When the show’s host, Vasay Chaudhry, asked about the female lead, Qamar playfully responded, “I’ve been advised not to mention Sajal Aly’s name,” triggering laughter from the host and the audience.
It’s worth mentioning that Saeed, renowned for his remarkable performance in the drama Meray Paas Tum Ho, has primarily focused on films in recent times.

On the small screen, Saeed was last seen as Doctor Hasnat in Netflix’s royal drama, The Crown. In a previous interview, Saeed expressed his thrill at being offered the role, as he was a fan of the show and had watched the previous seasons. “The project was enormous. I was extremely happy to have the opportunity to work on it,” said the star of London Nahi Jaunga.
The Punjab Nahi Jaungi star further mentioned, “I personally loved The Crown too, I watched the first four seasons. When I was offered the role, I couldn’t believe that I would portray myself in the fifth season. It was a significant achievement for me.” He also shared his thoughts on portraying a real-life character for the first time, stating that while he hadn’t played such a role before, the roles he typically portrays are also somewhat inspired by real-life individuals or situations.

‘London Nahin Jaunga Was My Last Film with Mehwish Hayat’: Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar
Famed writer Khalil-ur-Rehhman is now tired of working with Mehwish Hayat and Humayun Saeed.
During an interview, the ‘London Nahi Jaunga’ famed writer shared that Mehwish Hayat is a great actress and is pleasant to work with, however, he will no longer write scripts for her.
He said the same for his old pal Humayun Saeed who has worked with Hayat in the previous movie titled ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ which was also written by Qamar.
She’s a good actor but I have done my last film with her, I think, I won’t be able to write for her I am even tired of writing for Humayun Saeed now. If they got good chemistry, she should do something else, it’s not my responsibility, it is the time that other actresses should get the chance to work with me, already worked with her -Khalil ur Rehman Qamar said.
When a question was raised about Mehwish’s age, the writer took her side saying that he doesn’t think that age really matters nor is the problem, he believes that she has worked in many projects and others deserve a chance.

Mere Paas Tum Ho Writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Says He Curses Himself for Casting Mahira Khan
The Mere Paas Tum Ho writer, Khalil-ur-Rehman has said during an interview that he curses himself for casting Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in his drama serial Sadqay Tumhare.
Sadqay Tumhare came out in the year 2014. The last episode was released in 2015; the story is based on Khalil-Ur-Rehman Qamar’s real-life love story which is based in rural areas of 1980s Pakistan. The love story revolves around Shano and Khalil who are engaged since childhood but their family’s past jeopardizes their romantic and marital possibilities.
Mahira Khan played the female lead in the drama serial. For her role, Shano, Khan received critical acclaim for her performance. You would think people who were part of a successful project would have strong ties but not in this case. Khalil-ur-Rehman and Mahira Khan’s relations are not great – this is due to Rehman’s anti-feminist and problematic statements that came out on TV and social media over the past few years.
Khan showcases her disgust towards the writer’s ideas whenever she gets an opportunity. The writer does the same, he mocks the actress on Tv and social media for her nasty tweet against him, etc. Recently, Rehamn appeared in an interview where he told the host of the show that he curses himself for choosing Mahira Khan for her drama serial Sadqay Tumhare. The writer had previously said that he made a mistake while casting Adnan Malik as the male lead as well.
It is sad to see the writer slandering actors on social media platforms and coming out with misogyny and anti-feminist statement.

She was extremely upset and questioned why this man (Khalil-ur-Rehman) is given project after project? A man with such thinking shouldn’t be allowed to openly promote hate against women in any form. She added, “This same man who abused a woman on tv is revered and given project after project because of what? We are as much to blame if not more for perpetuating this thinking!”

Rehman didn’t respond to the actress then, but he finally opened up about it with Vasay Chaudhry. He said,
“My relationship with Mahira Khan is of utmost respect. I respect her immensely and she used to respect me a lot too. For me, it was a nasty remark when she tweeted against me. I was startled. She could have called me and addressed her concerns with me personally, so I could have explained to myself what had happened and that I didn’t mean it.”

The Mere Pass Tum Ho writer, Khalil ur Rehman, ill-famed for his misogyny, is yet again involved in a controversy. This time around, it is with Pakistani actress Urwa Hocane over her not being available to shoot his film after the shooting dates were shifted.
The shooting phase is the most difficult phase when it comes to production, and things often don’t work out as planned. Often, such changes don’t suit everyone’s schedule involved in the making of the film, so minor clashes tend to happen. Urwa said in a recent interview that upon her refusal of dates that were provided after the initial schedule was set, Rehman lashed out at her brutally. Following that, Urwa left Rehman’s film.
What Really Happened?
She said in the interview, “I didn’t really leave the film. The film was ready to be shot. However, it got postponed.” She said the days that were given to her later were when she already had commitments and couldn’t shoot for the film. She added, “So that is how it happened. Khalil Sahab got too mad at me.”
The host of the show Ahsan Khan then asked the actress how is the professional relationship now, to which Urwa replied, “We met afterward, and he hugged me, and he said you’re my daughter. I’m sorry.” To which then Urwa replied, “You have said things to me, got mad on national television, and now apologizing in private.”

Only Negativity Goes Viral
She said Khalil Sahab gave her a clip that had his apology. However, it didn’t go viral because obviously, negativity goes viral and not something as sweet as an apology in the said clip that showed a positive side of him. She then cleared that she wasn’t keeping a grudge regardless of what had happened.
Later, Ahsan and Urwa agreed that he gets mad sometimes when it comes to working but often shows affection and appreciation.
