Plot of the Show Based on Novel ‘Jo Bachay Hai Sang Samait Lo’

The story does revolve around a depressed Sikander who has a troublesome past and how he finds his ray of hope in the Italian girl he falls in love with, Liza. A story of love, romance, betrayal and selflessness, Jo Bachay Hai Sang Samait Lo promises to entertain and be a one-of-a-kind love-story. If the reports are true, we will soon be seeing the novel come to life as production on Pakistan’s first Netflix original series begins production.

With Momina Duraid’s production for Netflix hitting the production floors soon, we hope to see more of Pakistan’s original series being approved by the web series platform. This will bring the Pakistani entertainment and showbiz industry on the global map as Netflix is a watched by people across the globe.

Ahad Raza Mir Shares First Look from BBC’s ‘World on Fire’ Season 2

World on Fire Season 2 is an upcoming series that will feature popular actor Ahad Raza Mir portraying a fearless and determined leader of a specialized unit in the British Indian Army during World War II.

In the first glimpse of his character, he can be seen wearing a uniform and gazing intensely into the camera. While some publications have indicated October 15 as the show’s release date, no official confirmation has been provided by the broadcaster.

A user on the micro-blogging site wrote, “Hum Tum though light-hearted and maybe undermined being a Ramzan play, Hum Tum is tackling 2 very important issues, marrying a divorcee and marrying someone less educated than you. Love and respect Saima Akram Chaudhry for ensuring her dramas always have a message.”

Previously, in Pakistani drama serials, the hero characters frequently are represented in a negative light. They are either toxic, chauvinistic, or misogynist. This may illustrate a reflection of a fraction of our society,  but also promotes this kind of behavior. Worst case scenario – set a precedent for the young audience.

In Saima Akram Chaudhry’s latest drama serial, Hum Tum, the lead character comprise none of the characteristics mentioned above. Instead, the drama serial shows supporting male characters. Other drama writers must take inspiration from Hum Tum and produce similar positive characters.

A user on the micro-blogging site appreciating the writer wrote in a tweet, “Unlike previous toxic and chauvinistic leads of Ramzan plays, I am so freaking glad Saima ji ensured her hero this time is actually a man with a spine who, despite “hating” the heroine doesn’t put her down or talk behind her back.”

Reporter Claims Ahad Raza Mir Cheated on Sajal Aly with Another Actress from the Industry

A reporter has claimed that Ahad Raza Mir cheated on his wife, Sajal Aly with another actress from the industry.

Pakistani entertainment industry’s popular couple, Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir have parted ways legally. The news was confirmed last week. It has broken the hearts of thousands of fans across the globe. Many are speculating on what caused the actors to separate and are coming up with various reasons.

Amid various speculations, a journalist has come forward and revealed the reason behind why the two separated. It was due to Ahad cheating on his wife Sajal with another actress. Journalist Matloob highlighted many people in the media know about Ahad Raza Mir’s personality, the kind of person he is, the kind of affairs he has had in the past.

He said he has a chance to come out as a big person and accept that he cheated and it was he who is responsible for the divorce due to his ‘mistake’. Matloob then addresses that he was cheating on his wife Sajal with a star from the industry. He was caught red-handed with another actress, and many in the industry already know about this.

Matloob concluded by saying that let’s hope Sajal gets better things in life ahead.

On Twitter, few users have pointed out that this is in fact true and they have found out from different sources that Ahad Raza Mir is dating Hania Aamir.

In the latest developments, sources confirm that Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir are legally divorced now.

Fans were already speculating the divorce rumors for some time now but were confirmed they had separated when Aly changed her surname two days ago. Today sources have confirmed the news that the couple has called it quits. Sajal and Ahad tied the knot in March 2020 and have now separated in March of 2022.

They were together for only two years, of which the ending months were quite rocky. In a clip below, Aamna Haider Isani of SomethingHaute has confirmed the news. The couple themselves have not spoken about their divorce on social media, nor have they given any reasons why they separated.

Isani said that divorce is such a private thing and is a traumatic experience for two people that she wouldn’t want to get involved in any gossip regarding the matter, but hopes the two of them find comfort and peace in their singlehood which they had lost while being together.

She, however, made it a point that it is going to be hard for Sajal as women bare the more severe consequences than men. It is a piece of unfortunate news and will break thousands of hearts on the internet as the two of them were a pretty famous couple from the Pakistani entertainment industry.  Here’s to hoping we continue to see them thrive in their lives and that this decision will only prove to be better for the two of them.

Ahad Raza Mir Lands a Role in Netflix’s Original Series Resident Evil

Pakistani actor Ahad Raza Mir has landed a role in Netflix’s original series ‘Resident Evil.’

An American media company, Variety, confirmed the news. The streaming platform has not yet revealed details of Mir’s character in the series; however, it has confirmed that he will be part of the series in some capacity. Besides Mir, Variety revealed Connor Gosatti, Turlough Convery, Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nuñez have also been cast in the upcoming series.

A live-action and scripted series, ‘Resident Evil’ will disclose a new story established around Capcom’s hit video game franchise.

Lance Reddick is set to star as Albert Wesker. The logline of the series from Netflix says, “Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.”

Pakistani actress Sajal Aly who is known to not sit down for interviews, finally sat down to speak to the Maliha Rehman of Dawn Images. During the interview, the star revealed crucial information about why her husband Ahad Raza Mir was hurrying to get married.

Ahad and Sajal have not been seen together recently, which of course, has led to rumors that the two are not together at the moment or have separated momentarily. Additionally, the interview further confirms that the current relationship status of Ahad and Sajal is uncertain.

Regardless of that, Aly spoke about the love of her life fondly but of course from the past.  She says, “Ahad has talked about me a lot in his past interviews, but, somehow, I’m only doing it now. It’s just that I rarely give interviews, and I worry that if I get asked about Ahad, I’ll end up going on and on!”

How Ahad and Sajal Romance Embarked?

The romance between Ahad and Sajal began when they started working together. Sajal reflects on fond memories from the past. She says, “We had just got engaged when we started working in Aangan together. He had proposed to me and I had told him that he needed to reach out to my family.” She added, “… Ahad’s parents came to Lahore, met my family and we got engaged.”

Why was Ahad in a Hurry?

Sajal has revealed Ahad was in a hurry to tie the knot. She recalled even she herself was thinking why he was in a hurry. She said, “I later asked Ahad why he had been in such a hurry to get engaged. He told me that he had been afraid that, if he didn’t ask me to marry him, he would lose me, and I would marry someone else”.

The two later married in Abu Dhabi before the coronavirus pandemic broke loose in March of 2020.

Dhoop ki Deewar’s Latest Trailer Narrates a Thought Provoking Tale on Deep-Rooted Rivalry Between India & Pakistan [View Trailer]

Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir‘s latest web series, Dhoop Ki Deewar’s first trailer is out now! We see that the trailer is definitely engaging and is thought-provoking given the strong narrative.

Sajal is playing Sara’s role, who is from Pakistan, and Ahad is playing the role of Vishal from India. The story revolves around two families who have lost their sons to deep-rooted hate between the countries.  The 2:45 seconds clip takes us on a journey where we witness the two appearing on Tv channels blaming each other for their irreplaceable loss.

Both sides tag each other as ‘Dushman’ mainly because of the Indo-Pak rivalry carried out for decades now.

Into the next minute, we see the story take a turn where Ahad and Sajal speak online over chats and video calls. They develop a different perspective about the situation at hand. While the family doesn’t understand why the two suddenly have a different set of thoughts now, we believe their personal experience and great loss brought the two together. In the end, the two are seen arguing with their families as to when will this stop.

Director Haseeb Hasan said in a statement that the show “has an underlying message of peace, harmony, and joy of life.” Zindagi Gulzar Hai famed writer Umera Ahmed, who has penned Dhoop Ki Deewar, said the show draws influence from the understanding that ‘grief transcends borders and barriers.’

“No matter which country, religion, or belief you belong to, at the end of the day, the grief lived is the same everywhere, and it is much bigger than you and me. It is a story of love, grief, and loss that people across borders and overseas can relate to on a human level,” the writer said

Dhoop Ki Deewar will be available for streaming on 25th June, 2021 exclusively on ZEE5 across all global markets and is a key addition to ZEE5’s already vast library of Pakistani shows.

Written by the prolific Umera Ahmed and helmed by Haseeb Hasan, Dhoop Ki Deewar fosters the message of ‘Heart Over Hate’ and brings forth a cross-border tale of love, family, and loss.
