Since their leader’s arrest, Imran Khan supporters have only shown their support through rallies and sit-ins, they have taken their concerns and one may say battles to social media in different forms.

Some changed their pictures, some penned down long messages, while others tweeted their hearts out, making Khan among the top 5 topics around the world.

Not only was Imran Khan a subject nationally, but also highlighted time and time again on international news, with everyone having their eyes on what will happen to Khan next.

Meanwhile, Pakistani celebrities also joined the bandwagon in support of their leader, asking netizens to join the ‘now or never’ fight to bring Khan back.

Television and film actor Maya Ali said this was “ridiculous to see our kaptaan in their hands.” “Black Day for the nation,” she said taking to her Instagram Story.

Super-star cricketer Shaheen Shah Afridi changed his profile picture in support of Kaptan – and we all know that his father-in-law Shahid Afridi has been an avid supporter of Imran Khan since day 1.

Mahira Khan, who is also a vocal supporter took to her Instagram to share her two cents:

Imran KhanActor Maryam Nafees took to her Instagram Story, to write that this is now time to test the people of Pakistan. “Leader ka imtehan khatum, qaum ka imtehan shuru!

“ Pakistan ki Shaan Hain App, Pakistan Ki Aan hain app, Pakistan k Kaptaan hain app.” wrote Muneeb Butt.

Actor Adnan Siddiqui called the incident “shameful”, saying that it was “shocking” to see a former PM being dragged like a “petty criminal”. He added, “Never in the history of our country were such scenes witnessed. Power has surely gone to the ruling dispensation’s head,”

“Please get out of your homes guys. He’s in jail for us. His entire career of political struggle comes down to today. He’s telling us to fight for our constitutional rights, please get out there and protest!” Annie Khalid penned down.

We have yet to see what fate holds for Khan and Pakistan.

Maria B Takes Another Dig at Sar-e-Rah for Being ‘US-Funded’

Fashion designer Maria B has once again made controversial comments on transgender issues, this time regarding the Pakistani drama Sar-e-Rah starring Saba Qamar with other stars such as Muneeb Butt and Sunita Marshall.

Maria B used her Instagram stories to discuss what she called a “plaguing issue” and “huge global movement – transgender”. She went on to criticize the show, which had initially referred to the character as a transgender, but later edited the caption to “intersex”.

Maria made it a point to highlight in an earlier story that dialogue is key, especially since the situation remains persistent, “even in Ramazan”. However, her comments have been widely criticized as anti-transgender and harmful to the already marginalized transgender community in Pakistan.

In her Instagram stories, Maria expressed her disapproval of talk shows inviting transgender individuals and claimed that “transgender means men. Men who have a disease, and view themselves as women due to gender dysphoria. They put on makeup and change themselves. Their relationships are abuse – they’re homosexuals”.

Muneeb Butt & Family Drop All Charges Against Feroze Khan

Pakistani actor Muneeb Butt and Feroze Khan have resolved their differences over the controversial “leak of personal details” of several other actors, including Butt’s wife Aiman Khan, by Khan.

The Habs actor had made public the contact details of various celebrities, including mobile phone numbers and addresses, who accused him of being an “abusive partner in marriage.”

Butt had lodged a complaint against Khan with the Federal Investigation Agency’s cyber crime cell. However, after a long-standing dispute, Butt announced that he had dropped all charges against Khan.

He urged people to respect their privacy as it was their “private matter” and shared a picture with Khan, saying they have resolved the matter per their elders’ advice and will keep a “mutual relationship of respect and love” in the future.

Meanwhile, Khan clarified that he had failed to notice that the legal notice contained the personal details of the respondents, and he deleted the post as soon as he realized that he had made a mistake.

Taking to social media, Muneed Butt wrote:

“I Muneeb Butt and family hereby state that to give us pain and mental distress wasn’t FK’s [Feroze Khan] intention, it was a mistake. I announce to drop all the charges.” He added “Honorable judiciary is still hearing Feroze Khan & Syeda Aliza’s case, we have full faith in our judicial system the verdict court will give we will stand by that it’s their private matter and everyone should respect their privacy and restrain from commenting’

The actor also shared a picture with Feroze saying that they have decided to resolve the matter between them as per their elders’ advice and they will keep a “mutual relationship of respect and love” in the future.

The Khaani actor also shared a post on Instagram clarifying that he had “failed to notice” that the legal notice (against the celebrities) contained the personal details of the respondents when it was posted on his Instagram earlier this year.

“As soon as I realised, I deleted the post immediately within minutes,” he wrote. Feroze further stated that he knew the importance of privacy and he was extremely sorry “if any of my colleagues had to go through any inconvenience”.

Muneeb Butt Shares First Look as a Trans Asst. Commissioner for Upcoming Drama

Pakistani actor Muneeb Butt is all set to play the first-ever role of a transgender assistant commissioner in his upcoming show opposite Saba Qamar.

The actor took to Instagram to announce this news while mentioning that he was looking forward to this different role and adding that this role and drama carry a beautiful message.

While sharing photographs from the set, the actor bend down with a heart-full caption,  encapsulating his emotions and feelings.

He wrote:

I am really excited to announce that I am playing a very unique character of the first trans assistant commissioner in my upcoming project, something that breaks stereotypes in our society’

While sharing about his experience Butt added that he has been anxiously waiting to reveal the character that he will be playing soon. He also shared that this has been the most challenging role that he has ever done because he has had to get out of his comfort zone while thanking his co-star Saba Qamar for her help.

“It’s a 6-7 episode series, more like what you see on Netflix or Amazon for the OTT platforms. It’s a USAID series in which each episode will be based on a different story and [all of them] are excellent. It highlights all basic, social issues such as the stereotypes in our society, and the way things are done and it breaks taboos. My character is of a guy who by birth is a hermaphrodite.”

Butt said that the drama reflects his character’s struggles and journey, and how he fights back against society. He receives an education with the support of his family and eventually, he opts for CSS and becomes an assistant commissioner.

“This has a beautiful message — we boycott such individuals from our society completely and they are left with a few options to work; becoming a sex worker, a dancer or begging at signals. So for them, it’s a message that if you study, work hard and don’t care about what people say then you too can achieve whatever you want,” said the 30-year-old star.

Qamar wrote that she had been waiting to announce that she’s part of a “very unique and special project” by Idream Entertainment for ARY Digital. However, details about her character have not yet been disclosed.

Muneeb Butt Opens Up About His Controversial Statement from Nida Yasir’s Show

Muneeb Butt had become part of controversy due to his problematic statement in Nida Yasir’s show back in September.

Host Nida Yasir and another guest were engaging in a friendly conversation with Muneeb on the show. During the conversation, Muneeb asked Nida what her biggest fear was. Nida responded by saying that her biggest fear is her husband marrying for the second time.

To this, Muneeb responded jokingly, “Yay dur hona chahiyay. Yay dur hur khatoon mein hona chahiyay. Iisiliyay apko chahiyay kay ap apnay husband ko pamper kurain. Apko khayal rukhna chahiyay. Itni mohabbat daini chahiyay kay unka dosri turaf mind hi nahi jaye [Women should stay in constant fear that their husbands will do second marriage. In this way, they will shower more love towards their husbands].”

During an interview with BBC that came out yesterday, he talked about this particular controversy again. He said, “I said something else, and it turned out to be something else. I said it jokingly, it was just a joke. You took that joke completely out of the context, made headlines out of it that Muneeb Butt wants every woman to live in constant fear and God knows what they spread about me, but it didn’t affect me. The next day I said what I wanted to say in my video. Sensible people understood what I said and those people who don’t have any humor I cannot say anything to them”.

Later, he uploaded a lengthy video on YouTube clarifying his stance in the video. He said small blogs produce clickbait headlines for a few followers and create controversies.

Sanam Jung Makes a Comeback as ‘Maya’ In Latest Drama ‘Qarar’

Our favorite Pakistani actress and morning show host Sanam Jung is finally back on the tv screens after a long time and the fans can’t stop talking about her comeback in the latest Hum Television drama serial ‘Qarar’. 

The story of the drama is written by Aliya Bukhari and the director is Barkat Sidiki. Alongside Sanam Jung, the show stars Muneeb Butt, Ali Safina, Rabab Hasim, Seemi Pasha and Mekaal Zulfiqaar.

The drama revolves around the cultural norms in a typical Pakistani household, dealing with the thick and thins, highs and lows and their bonding getting intense during the course of time.

However, the drama has a very common storyline in which an orphan young girl lives with her Mamoo, tolerating his wife’s and cousin’s behavior who are always poking their noses in her life and blaming Maya for their own mistakes. Unfortunately, our audience enjoys cliché storylines and therefore, dramas with mainstream scripts tend to be the highest rated.

Moving on, lets dive into Sanam’s character in the show and the recent few episodes of ‘Qarar’ because you all have been curious for quite some time now.

Sanam Jung Maya has given her heart to Ali Safina Salman for their marriage as he gives her the attention she needs. But, things get bad when Sanam’s gets to know that her engagement has been fixed with Muneeb Butt Ammar. Maya’s mother approaches Rabab Hashmi Faria for letting Ammar visit them for proposal and Maya urges that since Faria started this situation, she should be the one who ends it too.

Faria meets Ammar and tells him to reject his proposal for Maya and Ammar agrees to it.  Later, Maya calls Salman just so his wife answers it and she realizes her mistake. Now, Maya decides to accept to Ammar’s proposal but the only person to blame is Faria now as she was the one to tell Ammar to reject his decision to ask Maya’s hand in marriage.

Later on, Maya’s family accepts Ammar’s proposal and he just couldn’t contain himself with joy  Faria is now the bad person in Ammar’s eyes and has assumed that she only wants the worst for him, which will make him hurt her in the coming episodes.

To sum it up, it’s safe the say that even though the storyline is pretty cliché , what has made this show the talk of the town and have the fans hooked to their tv screens is Sanam Jung’s comeback after her last Hum Television drama ‘Mai Na Janoo’ alongside Zahid Ahmed.

Sanam has never failed to win the audience’s hearts and ever since she has been in the industry, she has received love and appreciation from her fan following all around the world. In 2016, she took a break from showbiz after getting married to Syed Abdul Qassam Jafri and now has a beautiful three year old baby girl Alaya. Whether we talk about her morning show ‘Jago Pakistan Jago’ or some of her best dramas ‘Dil e Muztar’ and ‘Muhabbat Subh Ka Sitara‘ the actress has always kept her fans close to their tv screens with her contagious smile and wonderful acting skills.

Even though, most of us believe that ‘Qarar’ won’t be Sanam Jung’s best drama, her role in this show is quite different from the ones she’s usually played in the past and even though the storyline line seems quite predictable, it has kept the audience engaged and we still can’t wait to switch to Hum tv and watch her latest episode every week.
