WOW360: What makes the film unique?

Shahroz Sabzwari: “There’s a word we’ve been using ‘chick-flick’ – there are not many films made in the genre, its a pure entertainer and will be worth your money.”

WOW360: Did you find the character you played challenging and different from your other roles?

Syra Yusuf: “I think as actors we want to be picking up roles that are challenging for us, in its own way, for me, I had to actually find depth in my character and that was really interesting.”

Shahroz: “For me, I think it was challenging in a way because of the time it took, I think we had to come in and out of the characters, it took 3 years for this film, but its worth it, now that I have seen some bits and pieces of the movie. The film is about your first love, showing that it’s immature, youthful, and even for families to watch together.”

WOW360: Share any memorable moment during the shooting.

Syra: “I think a lot of our moments were memorable, we went all the way to Nawabshah but were unable to shoot there, so stuff like that, I think overall every time we were on the set it was somehow memorable.”

Shahroz: “Yeah, it was good, we have a lot of memories from the film.”

WOW360: How deeply do you get involved in the characters you play?

Syra: “I become my characters on set, that process makes things so much more authentic and it’s more fun.”

WOW360: What was the inspiration behind the name Babylicious?

Shahroz: “It’s a word of endearment, people in love use it, it’s like ‘jaan’ or ‘jaanu’, ‘baby’ or ‘babe’, this is a one-of-a-kind word.”

Syra: “Movies with such quirky names create their own vibe.”

WOW360: How would you compare the director with the other directors you have worked with?

Syra: “All the directors I have worked with are actually first-time directors, they somehow have everything down to the last details, with Essa, it was like ‘Mujhe is dialogue main ye shot aisi chahiye’, he was really prepared.”

Shahroz: “He’s done a good job with the film, we were very happy”

Upon reflecting on the film itself, when asked about what sets it apart, Syra responded, “You know, I believe that placing excessive pressure solely on the project itself is unnecessary. However, overall, it’s the film’s vibe that stands out, along with the relatable characters within it. Anyone meant to be funny truly brings the laughs. It’s going to be a heartwarming movie that people will eagerly watch and enjoy.”

Shahroz emphasized, “As Pakistanis, we are constantly seeking something to be proud of in any industry. This film is part of that industry. I’m not sure if we can call it an industry, but it is. So, I believe that those who watch it will take pride in the fact that we, as Pakistanis, have made it. It’s a genuinely Pakistani film. We shouldn’t feel obligated to feel pride simply because it’s Pakistani. I am against that notion. If it’s good, let’s support it. We live in a country facing challenges, but with the grace of God, people will leave the cinema feeling happy and proud.”

Sadaf Kanwal & Shahroz are Expecting their First Child, Behroze Sabzwari Confirms News

Pakistani veteran actor Behroze Sabzwari confirmed the news of his son Shahroz and his second wife, Sadaf, are expecting a child.

Fans spotted Sadaf’s baby bump during public appearances but weren’t sure if the couple was expecting. Sabzwari confirmed the news when he appeared on ‘The Kitchen Master’ on Express tv.

While the contestants were cooking, the host asked the veteran actor a series of questions. She began investigating Shehroz’s childhood and then followed up a question regarding his very public and controversial divorce from Syra Yousaf and marriage with Sadaf Kanwal.

The host asked Behroze Sabzwari how he lent support to his son when he was going through his divorce. He replied that he and his wife were standing tall with Shahroz and Syra. The host then appreciated Behroze and his wife for handling the situation with so much decency.

“If Syra and Shahroz’s minds did not match up, it does not mean the family had to be disrespectful to each other,” he said. He firmly believes that it was God’s will that his son separated and then remarried.

While talking about Shahroz Sabzwari’s second marriage, Sabzwari said Sadaf Kanwal is a good girl and confirmed that his son and his second wife are expecting their first child. He is about to become a grandfather again. He requested everyone to pray for the couple and child.

Shahroz Sabzwari Defends Wife Sadaf Kanwal after facing backlash over her views on “marriage rules”

Ever since Shahroz Sabzwari and Sadaf Kanwal tied the knot, they have been grabbing all the attention but for the wrong reasons and netizens are not letting go of any chance to troll the newlywed couple.

Recently, the duo made an appearance in a candid interview where they were asked several questions about their relationship. However, their comments on some sensitive topics resulted in a massive uproar around the country.

The model turned actress Sadaf Kanwal shared her opinions on feminism which garnered widespread criticism for being problematic to the core.

While sharing her thoughts about Pakistani culture and feminism, she said:

“A woman is very strong. I feel very strong and surely you [the host] must be strong as well. Our culture is our husband. I married him, which means I have to pick up his shoes and iron his clothes.” She did add that she doesn’t iron his clothes.

She continued by saying:

“I know where all of Shahroz’s things are and what and when he has to eat. I need to know these things because I am his wife and I am a woman. He doesn’t have to know the same about me. This is what I believe because this is what I’ve grown up seeing.”

He said:

Many people are criticizing my wife for taking her previous videos from the internet and sharing it all over again. We are all Muslims and Pakistan is a Muslim country. Our religion has allowed us to seek forgiveness for all the mistakes we have done in the past.

He also added:

“The true meaning of feminism is to give voice to voiceless and oppressed women but I feel like in recently days, some people are using feminism to make shamelessness common in the country.”

Shahroz Subzwari Opens Up About his Struggle after Divorce from Syra Yousuf & Marrying Sadaf Kanwal in a Simple Ceremony

Shahroz Sabzwari and Sadaf Kanwal are still a hot topic a year and a half later after their controversial marriage. The stars tied the knot in an intimate ceremony and announced the news on Instagram. At that point, no one had any idea about any details of how Sadaf and Shahroz met, or how they ended up getting married in secrecy.

All hell broke loose when people found out that the two were actually seeing each other for quite sometime before Shahroz and Syra officially called it quits. With everything happening, no one has any idea of the timeline of events that occurred behind doors so there were many baseless assumptions.

Shahroz revealed he was going through a difficult time when he was a bachelor again after his divorce from Syra Yousuf. He said, being a pious man, getting married again was his wish as he didn’t want to indulge in any sinful ways of life.

“I had honest intentions of marrying Sadaf, didn’t want to stay a bachelor. I am a religious person. Our religion asks us to refrain from a lot of things and I try to stay away from it. There is so much we aren’t permitted to do [in Islam], but if we get married, they become beautiful.”

Now that things have settled a bit, the stars revealed a few details about their marriage on a morning show.

No One Was Invited

Shahroz revealed with the pandemic at hand taking millions of lives globally at the time, they didn’t feel comfortable inviting a lot of people over, so no one was invited. Only a handful of people were present at the nikkah ceremony including their parents.

Sadaf Always Wanted to Get Married with Simplicity

In the show, Sadaf also revealed that in reality, this is how she wanted her big day to look. She has worn designer dresses for quite some time now, given her work requires it. However, when it came to her big day, she wanted to wear red and her saas offered her to wear her dress. The Indian dupatta she wore was from her saas’s big day.

Makeup, Mehndi, and Hair all Done by Sadaf Herself

Sadaf also revealed that she did her own makeup and her hair. She carried a very simple look, straight hair, minimalistic zero makeup look. She also did her own mehndi given the circumstances.

After the ceremony, the couple left together to meet a handful of important people

Once the ceremony ended, the couple met a few friends and relatives who weren’t invited and apparently had a blast

Sadaf Kanwal Reveals with Whom She Won’t Let her Husband Work Onscreen

Shahroz Sabzwari and Sadaf Kanwal are sure one popular couple. The two have displayed love and affection for each other on-screen multiple times. This time Sadaf displayed jealousy out of love after hosts asked her on a show of who she won’t let her husband work onscreen with. She was given three options: Ramsha Khan, Alizeh Shah, or Hiba Bukhari.

At first, Sadaf was confused about who Hiba Bukhari was but later chose Alizeh Shah. She quickly chose her and patted Sabzwari; they both giggled in their seats and moved on to another question.

Maybe something about Shah didn’t settle with Sadaf, or maybe it was an inside joke, but who knows what happens on the inside. Shahroz and Alizeh have appeared in a show before called Love Story, a telefilm for Aaj Entertainment.

Sabzwari had previously released short clips of him clarifying to the public that the reason behind the divorce with former wife Syra Yousuf was not infidelity.

In one of the clips, he said he and Syra were separated when he met the model. He denied accusations of cheating on his wife with the model.  Syra stated on her Instagram that it was due to “irreconcilable differences”.

Syra & Shahroz to Star in a Love Story After Their Divorce

Shahroz Sabzwari and Syra Yousuf are reportedly starring in a love story directed by Omar Essa, even after their split. One would think that couples who have separated would not even prefer seeing each other after the split; however, the case is not the same for Syra and Shahroz. The two seem to have gotten a better hold of their careers and shot a love story together. We are assuming the two are trying to maintain a professional balance in their lives.

Apparently, the couple signed the film before their separation. The film’s shooting had begun, but unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the shoot had to be halted. In an interview, Shahroz, while speaking about his films that are currently lined up, revealed that only a song of that film is left to shoot. He said, “Only a song from that film is left, which we’ll shoot on 25th, 26th, and 28th of this month. Another action-packed adventure of mine is completed while another film, titled Agar Magar, will also be finalized soon.”

While the director did not give away the film’s title, the film, however, revolves around a couple that has broken up, and either one of them is now trying to win back their ex. Who would have thought the film’s storyline would mimic the stars’ real life and be released after their separation? Most people who adored the couple on-screen and off-screen must be waiting impatiently for the film to come out as this might be the duo’s last ever on-screen appearance following their divorce.

Internet Stands Up In Support Of Syra Yousuf After Sadaf-Shahroz Tie The Knot

The director of the film, Omar Essa, revealed to a local publication that a couple of days of filming are still left. The film may get some attention due to the cast and the storyline, but Essa keeps his expectations low due to the pandemic. He said,

“I am not keeping any expectations as of now. With the condition of our industry/business models, thinking about it will just make me ‘chirchira‘. That’s not a good place to be when I am still in the creative process. I have done a reasonably good job in filming I feel, but things can still go wrong in post-production. So let’s keep praying for the best.”

“We are not their ‘khandan walay’. We have a professional relationship and they believe in the project. They have worked hard towards it, especially Syra. The role required a lot from her, physically and emotionally. Even if we had started production after their problems, I like to believe they would have still done the project.”

Last year, in March, Shahroz and Syra announced they are getting divorced on social media after seven years of being together. Shortly after the announcement, Shahroz tied the knot with model and actress Sadaf Kanwal in an intimate ceremony, given the pandemic. It was probably the most spoken about and criticized quarantine wedding that took place in the fraternity.

The couple said that the reason behind their divorce was “irreconcilable differences” and asked people to respect their privacy. They have a daughter together, for whom, they wish to be better parents regardless of their differences.

According to Shahroz, it was the public who had put this in this mind. He said, “Actually, we got together for awards where we had to perform together. So there, we hit it off and became such good friends. I’m a very closed-up guy, so I have a selected few people whom I love, and those are the people I talk to. So with Sadaf, I hit it off, but when we came back, people started painting our friendship in a different light, so then we both were like, a big thank you to everyone.”
