The gorgeous diva Mehwish Hayat has done a number of exceptional projects including Punjab Nahi Jaongi, Load Wedding, Chhalawa, and others. In each of her movies, the starlet has managed to play her characters flawlessly.
Apart from her acting skills, she is also a trendsetter when it comes to fashion and never shies away from experimenting with her sartorial choices.
Mehwish has also received one of the highest civil awards Tamgha-i-Imtiaz in 2019 for her outstanding contribution to Pakistan’s entertainment industry. The Enaaya actress has also got a special international award from the United Nations (UN) in America, making the country proud of her achievements.
Lately, she has also been very active on social media with her candid views on politics and makes it a point to voice her criticism. Apparently, she has recently hinted about being serious about getting into politics and wanting to pursue it.
During an interview, Mehwish Hayat said that she gradually understands the impact of global politics on our country.
She said:
I would like to say that I love the power that comes with politics – don’t get me wrong, I am not some sort of megalomaniac. I think that I am becoming aware of how much of our life is impacted by global politics. Something that happens in Washington could have an impact on the price of food in Karachi – we are that interconnected and interdependent these days. This fascinates me.
When asked about the leadership qualities she possesses to become a successful future PM of Pakistan, she replied:
“Wow, you are making this sound like an election debate already. Talking hypothetically and only hypothetically, I think that I have an analytic mind that questions everything. I also feel that I understand what the needs and worries of the average people are.

Mehwish Hayat is currently gearing up for her upcoming movie which will be a biopic for the late Pakistan People’s Party leader, Benazir Bhutto.
While talking about her role, she said:
It’s going to take some time to be written right now, but I can’t wait to play [Benazir Bhutto]. I’ve been reading up about her and the more I read, the more I get inspired… The world needs to see her story.
However, she refused to share further information regarding the upcoming movie.
