She shared, “I attempted to take my own life. I had lost the desire to live because, given my sensitive and soft-hearted nature, it all unfolded during a baseless scandal that remained largely misunderstood.”
The relentless trolling and animosity Aima faced didn’t just impact her but also deeply affected her family. Aima described how this experience profoundly affected her, even pushing her to contemplate ending her life.
She added, “It wasn’t just me receiving all the hurtful comments and hatred; it was affecting my brother, my father, and my sisters as well. They were all trying to shield me from it. They wouldn’t say anything, but I could see the pain in their eyes. Even my friends were suffering.”
Aima also recounted a transformative moment during a pilgrimage to Umrah, which occurred during that difficult period. She explained, “I isolated myself in my room during those days. The Umrah pilgrimage happened to coincide with that time. It felt like I was being summoned. I was in my room, not even thinking about it, but Allah called me there. One day, my father entered my room and asked, ‘Would you like to go for Umrah?’ I replied with a ‘Yes’. So, when I went there and performed Umrah with such intensity, it felt like Allah wanted me to heal.”
In addition to her mental health struggles, Aima openly discussed her battle with arthritis and the lack of empathy she encountered from others.

Despite hurtful comments, Aima encouraged others, especially women, to seek medical attention and resist succumbing to societal pressures or biases.
“I have a finger that I can’t straighten out, something I never paid much attention to,” she revealed. “In the comments on my pictures, people would sometimes ask, ‘Where is the other half of her finger?’ or ‘Why does she keep it folded?’
The truth is, it’s not by choice; it’s because of arthritis. So, if anyone suspects they have arthritis, please consult a doctor promptly, as it tends to worsen with age. While my family and friends try to reassure me that it’s nothing, the reality is that I wasn’t born this way. When you’re born with something, you grow accustomed to it. But this developed over time.”
