Another hair trend that has been popular among young teens since last year is finally catching up with the rest of us. Like all trends, this one is unique and far more irresistible. However, not everyone’s style.
The rebellious streak, as the internet calls it dates back to 1990 when Geri Halliwell, one of the Spice Girls rocked it and later Christina Aguilera in the 2000s. It wasn’t cool enough for it to come around after sun-kissed highlights and the natural look until Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish dazzled audiences in the look in a rockier kind of way.

Kylie Jenner also jumped on the bandwagon and tested the rebellious streaks on her hair
Now, there is a whole generation of kids and teens who find it amusing, interesting, and above all, rebellious.
In Karachi, not a lot of hairstylists do rebellious streaks. However, Tony&Guy, Mizka’s, Nabila’s are your best bet.
In hues of pink or blue, whatever rocks your boat
You can also colour your hair at home given that you invest in the right products and follow tutorials available on YouTube and other social media websites.
Nabila who is an icon in the Pakistani beauty industry also took a leap of faith with her hair and dyed them the rebellious streak style way with what looks like cotton candy pink and might I add, she is totally rocking it. At first, the hair guru tried extensions of the same kind and mimicked that later.
It is likely that you may have to colour your hair often to maintain the colour as these colours wash out quickly. You may also need to change your shampoo, conditioner, oil, serum and choose products suitable for coloured hair.
