Karachi, February 18, 2025 – VITAL Pakistan Trust (VPT) organized a Pre-Ramzan gathering at a local restaurant in Karachi to engage prominent business leaders and philanthropists on the significance of Zakat in supporting underprivileged women and children in Sindh. The event was attended by approximately 70 esteemed businessmen and women, who were apprised of how VPT collects and utilizes Zakat to provide life-saving maternal and child health services in underserved communities. The supporters who were present at the event included representatives from Unilever Pakistan Limited, Quetta Gladiators, Yaqin Steels, ARY Digital, Adamjee Life Assurance Co. The evening featured insightful addresses by Mr. Akbar Rajani, CEO of VITAL Pakistan Trust, Mufti Ibrahim Essa, Chairman of Al Hamd Shariah Advisory Services, and Mr. Peter Lobo, Head of Resource Development & Communications at VPT. They emphasized VPT’s transparent Zakat collection and distribution process, ensuring that every contribution directly benefits those in need.
Following the speeches, an engaging question-and-answer session allowed participants to gain deeper insights into VPT’s impact and accountability in Zakat management. The evening concluded with a networking dinner, fostering meaningful discussions on collective efforts to uplift maternal and child health in Sindh.
