The scorching sun has everyone on edge, not to forget the agony of load shedding making it even harder to get through the day.
Office-going women and those who wish to step outside to get some errands done often find themselves sweating, which means that their faces and hair get oily. Makeup touches are still possible, however, how does one manage oily and sweaty hair?
If you’re one of those ladies who is facing a hard time, we have some tips and tricks to help you out. Here are 5 tips to keep your hair sweat-free in Pakistan.
1. Use Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is no short of a blessing for men and women both. With dry shampoo, you do not have to wash your hair every day, you can simply spray the shampoo on and let it do the trick. The properties of this shampoo absorb oil helping you look fresh, moreover, it saves time, does not cause any kind of damage to your hair, adds volume, and even neutralizes odour.
2. Tie It Up
One of the most common and affordable preventions is to tie your hair up. This way, most of your hair will not be drenched in sweat. Moreover, this will prevent your hair from touching your sweaty body. Also, it is important to add that this will allow the ventilation of cool air on the back of the neck and body to help keep your temperature down.
3. Use Lemon
Spraying lemon on your hair will prevent grease and oil buildup as lemons have high concentrations of citric acid which balance the hydration levels of the scalp. It also prevents bad odour from surfacing, keeping you smelling fresh and ready to take on the world. To make this spray, mix lemon and water (2:3 ratio) and store it in a bottle.
4. Apple Cider Vinegar Toner
Just like how lemons help, apple cider vinegar has anti-bacterial properties that highly benefit the scalp. Moreover, it helps maintain hydration on the scalp, reducing itchiness and dryness. To make this toner you simply need to dilute the vinegar with water (equal amounts), spray it on, and continue with your day.
5. Essential Oils
Rubbing 2-3 drops of essential oils will prevent your hair from getting sweaty. Make sure you do not apply it in a large quantity, take just 2-3 drops in your palms and use your fingers to brush it through your hair. The best essential oils to get the job done. Use rosemary oil, lavender essential oil, ylang-ylang oil or argan oil for sweat-free hair and scalp.
