Suno Chanda Writer Promises Fans Season 3 of Hit Ramadan Sitcom

Pakistani sitcom writer Saima Akram Chaudhry known for her Pakistani Ramadan special romantic comedy series Suno Chanda has promised fans that she will pen down season 3 of the hit sitcom. Her Ramadan drama serials, Hum Tum and Chaudhry & Sons are on air and are being appreciated by fans fond of Chaudhry’s plays.

Saima Akram Chaudhry took it to Instagram to share an important message with her fans. She wrote, “I am so overwhelmed by the response of my fans. This is the love I have been carrying since Suno Chanda Season1. If my fans showered the same love for Hum TUM and Ch & Sons, this is my promise that I am going to write Suno Chanda Season 3. – for the love of Suo Chanda.”

Suno Chanda first came out in 2018, with Iqra Aziz and Farhan Saeed playing lead roles. The show revolves around Pakistani wedding tradition – a couple in Nikaah, living separately as the Rukhsati is yet to happen, and the relationship between their families. Ahson Talish directed the show. Until now 2 seasons have on aired with fans wanting another season. However, the makers of the drama serial hadn’t hinted at another season until now.

Previously, cast member Nabeel Zuberi had said that the third season will not happen. “Sorry to update you guys, but there will be no Suno Chanda season 3. Fans were sad but rejoiced over the previous seasons of the show. Now, Saima’s recent message has given them hope again.

Scene from Popular Pakistani Drama Serial ‘Suno Chanda’ gets recreated by Indian Content Creator

It is no surprise that Pakistani drama serials are a hit across the border in India. So much so that an Indian content creator has recreated a scene from the hit drama serial ‘Suno Chanda.’

Suno Chanda aired in 2018 and is the most successful Ramazan serial in Pakistan, featuring Farhan Saeed and Iqra Aziz as the lead characters. Shahana, aka Shanno, a character played by Nadia Afgan, became one of the most favourite characters of all time among audiences.

When the show was being aired on tv, its snippets often made it to social media and were shared thousands of times for being witty, funny, and chaotic at the same time.

A scene led by Shahana’s character was created by the Indian content creator who goes by the name of Silky. As dialogues narrated by Nadia Afgan in Urdu change, silky appears in different bridal outfits and jewellery showcasing her regal beauty and acting skills. She has done a commendable job at recreating this scene and has successfully caught our attention. After all, this is the goal of all content creators.

After this clip went viral, Silky has earned some praises for herself and a ton of Pakistani followers too. Suno Chanda became so popular that the drama series producers went ahead and produced a sequel of the show, which was then aired later in 2019 with the same actors in lead roles. Among many accolades, the main star, Iqra Aziz, won two awards for her brilliant performance in the drama serial at the Lux Style Awards.

Drama Serial “Chupke Chupke” Reminds Fans of “Suno Chanda”

Depressing drama shows and Ramadan shows have ruled local TV as far as I can remember in the month of Ramadan. However, last year, the drama serial Suno Chanda made a fresh entry that was unexpected and overwhelmingly appreciated by fans due to the fun-filled entertainment the romantic comedy had to offer.

Now, this year again, the trend is being revived and taking centre stage with Saima Akram Chaudhry’s Chupke Chupke. The drama serial that has aired its 16 episodes as yet has garnered a great fan following from all walks of life.  The play is aired daily at 9 PM on Hum Tv featuring Osman Khalid Butt, Ayeza Khan, Ali Safina, Mira Sethi,  Asma Abbas, Huma Beg, Arslan Naseer and Aymen Saleem.

While some love the show immensely and are binge-watching it on YouTube because it reminds them of Suno Chanda from last year, others haven’t yet approved it as one of their favourites.

Chupke Chupke hasn’t made its way to everyone’s hearts as yet; however, people who do not watch local drama’s around the year have started appreciating the Ramadan drama.

She was born in 1992 in Karachi and has received immense love and a huge fan following of 248K on Instagram at a young age of 28 years.

Moreover, the emerging Pakistani actress is currently playing amazing roles in dramas with strong storylines. She’s starring in one the highest rated Geo’s drama serial ‘Muqaddar ‘ as Abeera – a pampered daughter who’s over protective of her father Faisal Qureshi and also in Hum Television’s ‘drama serial ‘Kashf’ as Zoya who’s a self-centered younger sister of Hira Mani.
