The renowned platform Shaan e Pakistan which proudly kicked off its 10-year milestone celebration late last year with the setting up of SEPMA Academy to provide free space for unparalleled music education to the visually impaired and specially abled individuals, held its award and citation ceremony, and press conference to announce its plans here earlier today. The vibrant event opened with a Red Carpet buzzing with distinguished personalities such as Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, Sahir Lodhi, Razzak Pardesi, Hon. CG of Morocco, Ishtiaq Baig, and many more.
After Tilawat, naath, and national anthem presented by the visually impaired students of Ida Rieu, the welcome address was delivered by Shanaz Ramzi, an integral part of SEPMA events since day one. She shed light on the vision behind SEPMA Academy, founded in the memory of Huma’s father, Haji Zikar Pardesi, and its proposed activities to celebrate the tenth year of Shaane e Pakistan, a platform that has been connecting people around the world through music, fashion, and food.
The highlight of the evening was an award and citation distribution ceremony to acknowledge the young special talent from various institutions that have been working with SEPMA Academy. The grand Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Award was presented by Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani to Gulsher, a student of Ida Rieu. Citations were also distributed by him to students of Ida Rieu, IHRI, and TCF.
This was followed by a speech by Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani who expressed his delight in joining hands with SEPMA and hoped it would pave the way to future partnerships and collaborative events. He spoke about Prem Nagar’s role in supporting marginalized communities, especially in Thar.

Razzak Pardesi was up next, whose institution, Institute of Holistic Rehabilitation and Inclusion (IHRI) was represented by its students present at the event. He also felt that collaboration was cth ony way forward. Also speaking on the occasion were Hon. CG of Morocco, Ishtiaq Baig, Sahir Lodhi, and Ramsha Pardesi. Speaking on the occasion, Huma Zikar Pardesi stated, “I hope that in our tenth year, we will be able to provide an international platform for some of these students to display their talent. I am sure that these partnerships we are creating will help us go a long way. I also urge everyone to help me raise funds for this noble cause, as alone I will be able to do only so much, but together, we will be able to grow. This year will inshallah culminate in a grand Jashn e ShaanePakistan 2026 Inclusivity Festival, and I would like everyone to join hands with us in this great cause and support us whether financially, in kind, or in spirit.”
A short, moving tableau and awareness-raising inclusive activity by SEPMA was up next, produced and directed by Huma Haji Zikar Pardesi. The costumes for the visually impaired participating in the tableau were courtesy House Of Braahti.
The evening ended in high tea and positive vibes from all present.
