Fashion designer Fahad Hussayn is known for his bespoke fashion pieces that are known to stand out and cause quite the stir. However, this time around the ace fashion designer has caught quite the negative attention for his new ‘street wear’ inspired fashion line ‘FACTION’.

The hip, colourful, festive and peppy designs are raising eyebrows for the bold colours and choice of depiction which others are calling out to be inspired by the LGBTQ movement. Not only the designs but the photoshoot has also caused quite an uproar with the public.

Let’s Take a Look at the New FACTION Collection:

From bejewelled helmets in black and gold to the uber-colourful outfits, everything seems to be quite over the top! From colourful peacocks, multi-colored animals to crawling babies, the outfits are digitally printed with everything under the sun! The ladies have accessorised with the most ‘in’ fashion chunky gold bangles which we must admit we absolutely love. But the entire look – not so much.

While some outfits were comprehensible, others such as this mesh bottom with a striking red bejewelled underwear was something we didn’t quite understand as such. Is this a new style statement for men?

The shoot definitely had some fashion forward shots such as makeup on the men and a male model in a one-piece swimsuit meant for women. Netizens found the entire photoshoot bizarre and questioned the designer for what he was trying to showcase with this collection.

The comments from netizens ranged from ‘this is not street smart’ to commenting curse words. Others continued with ‘what average Pakistani man is going to wear such outfits?’.

The designer may have brought his own perception to life. However, it seems like the public did not quite resonate with his thoughts. Netizens have heavily criticized the collection, claiming that it draws strong inspiration from the LGBTQ movement.

Taking to Instagram stories, the ace designer has responded to critics. Fahad refutes the claims that his new Faction collection draws inspiration from the LGBTQ movement. He said the rumours are baseless and he has done no such thing calling it ‘irresponsible journalism’.

He has deleted the original posts for the Faction collection and limited comments on the post.

100 Handcrafted Prayers with Embellishments & Zardozi Work Written in Iqra Aziz’s Godh Bharai Dupatta

Pakistani actress Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain are going to become parents soon. The couple announced the news on Instagram that they are expecting their first child in July this year, along with pictures of the couple at their godh bharai rasam.

People noticed that Iqra’s dupatta wasn’t any ordinary one. It had 100 prayers stitched in Urdu with embellishments and zardozi work by designer Fahad Hussayn and team. We have previously seen Zara Shah Jahan do something similar for Bukhtawar Bhutto, which made us think this is the new trend in town.

In an insta post, the designer congratulates the couple: “ Sau Duaien” is specially curated with lots of love to celebrate Iqra Aziz (an actor & a very dear friend) motherhood. 100 handcrafted prayers with embellishments and zardozi work have been written on the dupatta! With lots of love & prayers, May God protects you from evil eyes.

The designer told a local publication that the actress had requested something that she can pass on to her child. Fahad thought of the concept of putting 100 duaas on the dupatta, which Iqra worked with her husband and mother.

The prayers stitched on dupattas include “logon ke saath bhalai karo gay toh log bhi tumharay saath bhalai karein gay” (be kind to others, and they will be kind to you) and “ilm sub say bari daulat hai” (knowledge is the greatest wealth).
