Netizens Call Out Alizeh Shah for Promoting Fairness Cream

Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has been a victim of trolling and a favourite MEME topic every now and then. Once again savage social media has targeted the celeb, but this time many are claiming it’s for all the rights reasons.

Just like the actresses before her, Shah received major backlash for promoting a fairness cream brand and its product. For a while now be it Ayeza Khan or even Mahira, netizens want celebs to stop promoting such products.

Not only can they cause damage to an individual’s skin and health, but also promote the ‘gora complex’ stereotype that Pakistanis have been wanting to break.

We have often heard that girls are rejected for dark complexion, they are underconfident, and there are several mental and emotional traumas associated with the colour of the skin, which is why it is all the more important to stop promoting the dream of fair skin and start promoting the fact that all women (and men) regardless of skin colour are beautiful.

For some time now, even Pakistani dramas had been promoting the concept that people with dark skin and frowned upon, no matter how amazingly talented they may be. Following this the younger and more aware generation wants this to change in the long term.

“I regret naming Alizeh Shah as being a difficult co-star”, Yasir Nawaz

Actor and director Yasir Nawaz has said that he regrets naming Alizeh Shah on air when narrating a bad experience on set.

Actors Yasir Nawaz, his wife Nida Yasir, and co-star Neelum Muneer were present at a promotional interview for their film release, Chakkar. They were asked plenty of fun questions during the interview, but one answer got us talking when Yasir said he regrets naming Shah on air.

So what escalated?

The voice behind the camera asked Yasir, “What is the one project Yasir regrets doing?” On hearing the question, Yasir, Nida, and Neelum began laughing. The answer was obvious; it was ‘Mera Dil Mera Dushman.’ The drama serial came out in 2020, directed by Syed Ali Raza Usama. Actors Alizeh Shah and Yasir Nawaz were part of the drama serial in lead roles. As per Nawaz, he had a bad experience with Shah on the sets of the drama serial. However, now he regrets it.

“I regret naming Alizeh Shah as being a difficult co-star,” said Yasir Nawaz

Following his statement, people were engaged in discourse online about whether Nawaz should have said her name on-air or not. Like all differences in the industry, a few celebrities took sides with Shah while others supported Yasir. The brawl went online for a couple of weeks before it died down. As a result, professional relationships between the two parties have been damaged.

Alizeh Shah Appreciates Shazia Manzoor, Fellow Models, & Designer Nisa Hussain for Lifting her Up After her Fall on BCW’s Ramp

Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah fell on the ramp of Bridal Couture Week while walking for Nisa Hussain. The actress finished her walk, but when she was returning backstage alongside singer Shazia Manzoor, she had quite a fall.

The two first headed towards the left to exit the ramp but suddenly moved towards the right, and that’s when the star fell. However, instead of being embarrassed, the star left the ramp laughing aloud. She was picked by the singer herself and taken backstage.

To clarify what went down on the ramp, the star posted on social media that there was some confusion about which side the two of them had to exit.

In the middle of the confusion, the star slipped. She wrote, “Last night was a rollercoaster full of emotions and a fall which was led by confusion where I was going towards the left side, and Shazia Manzoor thought that we had to go to the right and I slipped.”

The star appreciated the singer, fellow models, and designer for uplifting her regardless of the fall.  She further added, “but what a fireball of energy Shazia Jee has that she picked me back wd so much love, and I was motivated by my fellow colleague @amarkhanlove and all the amazing models who were working tirelessly during this 3-day event and my designer @nisahussainofficial I felt so good being around all these powerful and strong women.”

She concluded her post by saying that, “Life is full of ups and downs and some fall too but never think that it is over, together we can, and we will make a positive difference.”

After Yasir Nawaz, Alizeh Shah Lashes Out at Humayun Saeed

Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has come under fire once again. This time around, actor Naveed Raza didn’t hold his words back regarding Shah’s behavior and unprofessionalism.

Naveed Raza and Maham Aamir were invited to Ahsan Khan’s talk show. During a segment of the show, where stars eat while the host asks questions, Naveed exposed Shah and proved that, after all, she does misbehave quite a bit with senior actors.

Ahsan Khan asked Naveed what he wanted to say about the Yasir Nawaz scenario? Nawaz had appeared earlier on the show with his wife and popular host, Nida Yasir. In the show, he mentioned how he had difficulty shooting with actress Alizeh Shah for a drama serial, Mera Dil Mera Dushman, of which Naveed was also a part.

To which Naveed responded, “I think, no matter how much work you are doing, how famous you have become, how much you may be talented, you must not drop the element of seniority and respect.”

He revealed a blasting phone call between Alizeh Shah and Humayun Saeed, who was the show’s producer, took place. Due to COVID-19, dates for shoots were shifted, and so the producer was making calls to actors to shift dates. The actor-turned producer was startled after the phone call with Shah, who misbehaved with him. Saeed said, “Do you not wish to work in the future?” after Shah misbehaved with the actor. She replied, “You will give me work? I am not short of offers.”

Naveed said, “You can’t walk in on set with your personal set of issues. This is a workplace”.

 

Speaking about Yasir Nawaz and his friendly nature on sets, he said, “Yasir Nawaz has a profile. He worked in the industry and proved his talent as an actor and director”.

The actor raised his voice and further said, “Who has given the right to you to speak up in matters?” Naveed revealed the actress had cut lines from the script as she didn’t want Nawaz to shoot certain scenes with her. She would ask the crew to shift Yasir Nawaz’s seat further from hers while getting his hair dried.

Naveed pointed out that this is not respect. This is misbehavior.
