Low-carb diets are better for weight loss while eliminating carbs is not the best option. It is because carbs are the primary fuel source of our body. Try to add complex carbs to your diet, such as whole grain, instead of simple carbs such as processed or sugary items.
2 – Eating after 8 pm makes you fat
Not true! You will start losing weight once you follow a calorie deficit religiously. It doesn’t matter what time of the day you eat. You can eat at bedtime and not gain weight.
3 – High-protein diets are a healthy way to lose excess weight
A balanced diet is critical! Consuming a larger portion of your calories in the form of protein (eggs, cheese, and meat ) is not a great idea. This way of eating might as well cause heart disease as you are probably overeating cholesterol or fat.
4 – You inherit the weight gain from your parents
You do not inherit the weight gain from your parents as there is no gene called FAT. It is highly likely that your parents are fat because they follow an unhealthy lifestyle which then you have followed.
5 – Having apple cider vinegar every day will help you lose weight
There is less data available that claims that apple cider vinegar helps you lose weight. Nutritionists do not suggest going down that route.
6 – Low-fat or Fat-free foods help you lose weight
It is essential to understand that low-fat foods do not come with a label of zero calories. If you are looking to lose weight, you must record the calories you are consuming. For better results, track your macros.
7 – Skipping a meal will help you lose weight
Skipping a meal doesn’t help you lose weight. It ruins your metabolism. If you have already tried this, you know that you eat far more than usual whenever you eat next after skipping a meal.
8 – Fruits are unhealthy and do not promote weight loss
Our body needs some sugar, even when on a diet. Fruits naturally are loaded with sugar, but they are way healthier than a chocolate doughnut.
