Golden Visa Requirements for Others
The prerequisites for obtaining a Golden Visa vary based on the type of residence, whether it be for investors, talents, entrepreneurs, etc.
Investors in Public Investments
For those investing in an accredited investment fund, a 10-year Golden Visa may be granted without a sponsor, contingent upon:
- Submission of a letter from a UAE-accredited investment fund confirming the investor’s AED two million deposit.
- Presentation of a valid commercial or industrial license, along with a memorandum of association, affirming the investor’s capital of at least AED two million.
- Submission of a letter from the Federal Tax Authority stating an annual contribution of no less than AED 250,000 to the government.
Additionally, investors must:
- Fully own the invested capital, with no loans involved.
- Provide evidence of medical insurance for themselves and their family, if applicable.
Real Estate Investors
Property owners, eligible for a 5-year Golden Visa, renewable under the same conditions without a sponsor, must fulfill:
- Submission of a letter from the land department confirming ownership of properties valued at no less than 2 million dirhams.
- Acquisition of a property through a loan from specific local banks approved by the competent local entity.
Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurs can secure a 5-year Golden Visa if they own a technical or future-oriented economic project based on risk and innovation. Additionally, approval letters are required from:
- An auditor in the UAE verifying a project value of not less than 500,000 dirhams.
- Authorities in the emirate confirming the project’s technical or future-oriented nature.
- An accredited business incubator in the UAE supporting the establishment of the proposed activity in the country.
Outstanding Specialized Talents
These include doctors, scientists, individuals in culture and art, inventors, executives, scientific specialists, athletes, doctoral degree holders, and experts in engineering and science fields.
For a 10-year Golden Visa, the specific requirements for each category are:
- Doctors and scientists: Approval letter from the Ministry of Health and Prevention or a recommendation letter from Emirates Council of Scientists or Secretariat of the Mohammed bin Rashid Medal for Scientific Excellence.
- Inventors: Recommendation letter from the Ministry of Economy.
- Creative individuals in culture and art: Approval letter from the respective emirate’s department of culture and arts.
