ZEE5 Extends Special Gesture for Viewers in Pakistan; Offer Fans an Exclusive Free Viewing of Dhoop Ki Deewar

ZEE5 recently dropped the much-awaited trailer of Zindagi’s third original Dhoop Ki Deewar scheduled to launch on 25th June 2021. Even before its release, the show has started winning accolades for its superlative character portrayals and captivating performances. With a promising cast and gripping storyline, the show has received tremendous praise and love globally.

Reciprocating the love and positive response from the viewers in Pakistan, ZEE5 has announced that the show will be available for free on the platform and the viewers will not have to pay a subscription fee to watch it. This special gesture in Pakistan is a reinforcement of the series’ message of Heart over Hate and an attempt to take this show and its premise to maximum viewers across the country.

Produced by Motion Content Group and Hamdan Films, Dhoop Ki Deewar, a tale of love, family and loss that highlights the social impact of war, is an upcoming ZEE5 exclusive and a Zindagi Original web series. It is written by Umera Ahmad and directed by Haseeb Hassan.

Dhoop Ki Deewar is set to premiere on 25th June.

Dhoop ki Deewar’s Latest Trailer Narrates a Thought Provoking Tale on Deep-Rooted Rivalry Between India & Pakistan [View Trailer]

Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir‘s latest web series, Dhoop Ki Deewar’s first trailer is out now! We see that the trailer is definitely engaging and is thought-provoking given the strong narrative.

Sajal is playing Sara’s role, who is from Pakistan, and Ahad is playing the role of Vishal from India. The story revolves around two families who have lost their sons to deep-rooted hate between the countries.  The 2:45 seconds clip takes us on a journey where we witness the two appearing on Tv channels blaming each other for their irreplaceable loss.

Both sides tag each other as ‘Dushman’ mainly because of the Indo-Pak rivalry carried out for decades now.

Into the next minute, we see the story take a turn where Ahad and Sajal speak online over chats and video calls. They develop a different perspective about the situation at hand. While the family doesn’t understand why the two suddenly have a different set of thoughts now, we believe their personal experience and great loss brought the two together. In the end, the two are seen arguing with their families as to when will this stop.

Director Haseeb Hasan said in a statement that the show “has an underlying message of peace, harmony, and joy of life.” Zindagi Gulzar Hai famed writer Umera Ahmed, who has penned Dhoop Ki Deewar, said the show draws influence from the understanding that ‘grief transcends borders and barriers.’

“No matter which country, religion, or belief you belong to, at the end of the day, the grief lived is the same everywhere, and it is much bigger than you and me. It is a story of love, grief, and loss that people across borders and overseas can relate to on a human level,” the writer said

ZEE5 Global announces the much-awaited Zindagi Original Dhoop Ki Deewar, a Cross-Border Tale of Love, Family and Loss

ZEE5 Global, the largest video streaming platform for South Asian content, has announced its third Pakistani production and Zindagi Original titled Dhoop Ki Deewar.

Love transcends all barriers and Zindagi is proud to have always showcased this through its shows. Reminding us of this unmatched power of love, Dhoop Ki Deewar will stress on the belief that our collective humanity will overwrite the circulation of hate. The web series stars the celebrated Pakistani duo Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir.

Dhoop Ki Deewar will be available for streaming on 25th June, 2021 exclusively on ZEE5 across all global markets and is a key addition to ZEE5’s already vast library of Pakistani shows.

Written by the prolific Umera Ahmed and helmed by Haseeb Hasan, Dhoop Ki Deewar fosters the message of ‘Heart Over Hate’ and brings forth a cross-border tale of love, family, and loss. Vishal from India, played by Ahad Raza Mir, and Sara from Pakistan, played by Sajal Aly, find their lives interconnected when they lose their fathers in war and their common grief becomes a foundation of their friendship.

Comprising a stellar cast of Samiya Mumtaz, Zaib Rehman, Savera Nadeem, Samina Ahmed, Manzar Sehbai, Raza Talish, Aly Khan, and Adnan Jaffar amongst others, the web series explores the impact of martyrdom and war on the two families and how they realize that peace is the only answer. The show is produced by Motion Content Group and Hamdan Films.

Sajal and Ahad, the Veer Zara of the new generation, have starred together in a web series for ZEE5, “Dhoop ki Deewar” which was set to release in March 2021. However, things got delayed, and now the show is back and all set to release in June. Fans are eagerly waiting for a teaser now!

There are plenty of factors that make this show highly anticipated, of which one is, of course, the heartthrob couple, Ahad and Sajal – who are a couple in real life too, and many more. Following are some facts as to why the show may as well be on everyone’s watch list this summer:

1 – Umera Ahmed

Umera Ahmed is one of the finest writers we have in the industry today. She knows her ways around words so the audience impulsively falls in love with her writing. Ahmed has written many novels that have turned into plays including Zindagi Gulzar Hay, Jhoot, Kankar, Bhaagi, etc.

2 – Beyond borders, religion, and societal biases

We love a good narrative, after all, certain Pakistani dramas are only famous globally due to the complexity of the subjects and real fresh narrative. Dhoop ki Diwaar by Umera Ahmed revolves around the topic of grief and war that transcends borders, religion, and societal biases.

3 – Alif Famed Director, Haseeb Hassan on the wheel

Storytelling is an art – and who masters it better than Alif famed director Haseeb Hassan whose work in the Pakistani film and tv echoes beyond borders. “The sole essence of the show lies in the simplicity of its narrative. 4 – Anticipated Cast

5 – Rumored to Release on Multiple OOT Platforms

The show will initially release on Zee5 in 2021. However, it may appear later on other OOT Platforms such as Netflix which will be easier for Pakistanis to access since Pakistanis still can’t pay for the monthly subscription for ZEE5.
