Shaan Shahid’s Daughter Joins Showbiz, He Says Artists have a Right to Push Future Generations Forward

Shaan Shahid’s daughter, Bahisht Shaan Shahid, is making waves in the media world with reports of her intention to follow in her father’s footsteps and join the entertainment industry. Expressing his joy, Shaan can be seen enthusiastically discussing his daughter’s acceptance into the National College of Arts (NCA). The superstar voiced his pride in Bahisht’s dedication to honing her diverse talents and expressed his optimism that she would excel in the media field, bringing honor to their country and to him.

“I feel the way my parents must have felt,” Shaan remarked. “I am delighted that Bahisht has taken an interest in direction, film writing, and acting. It’s a proud moment for me because, just as I have continuously evolved – my father was a writer and director, and my mother was in films – I had to fulfil their legacy. That legacy has now been passed on to Bahisht. She is going to NCA to earn her degree, after which she will, God willing, pursue direction, writing, acting, and singing.”

Discussing how every parent dreams of their child carrying forward the family legacy, Shaan elaborated, “I have never differentiated between a son and a daughter. I am delighted that my child will carry on and make a name for themselves, while also bringing pride to the nation.” When asked for advice, Shaan mentioned that his daughter should perfect what he couldn’t, “People lack the courage to hear the truth,” he emphasized.

Bahisht feels the pressure of stepping into the industry

The interviewer questioned Bahisht about feeling pressured, she responded, “Anyone in this family would feel the pressure, but with (Shaan’s) presence, you can’t. When Baba is with me, I feel like I can conquer the world.”

Addressing the nepotism debate, Shaan remarked, “Artists also have the right to promote their second or third generations. This right is not limited to politicians.”
