The Punjab Police has recently launched an innovative project called “Hamaray Phool,” which aims to provide audio therapy services to children with hearing impairments.
Under this project, modern hearing aids are being distributed to children of police employees, including those from the Traffic Police, Dolphin Force of Lahore and Narowal, and other districts.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar personally handed out modern hearing aids to the children, and he expressed his happiness that the special children of police employees are now able to hear.
He believes that this initiative will enable them to become useful citizens of society. The IGP also announced that Rs1.85 million per child has been approved for the purchase of cochlear implants for the treatment of hearing-impaired children.
When the “Hamaray Phool” project was started, only four children were registered, but the number has now increased to 2,100. The IGP is urging any employee who has not yet registered their special child to call 1787 to ensure that they receive instant medical support for treatment.

Audio Therapy & its Benefits
Audio therapy is an effective and proven treatment for individuals with hearing loss. It is a non-invasive and safe method that uses sound to help individuals overcome various hearing problems.
It works by stimulating the brain and the auditory system to improve hearing function, speech perception, and language development.
The benefits of audio therapy for children with hearing impairments are immense. Research has shown that early intervention through audio therapy can significantly improve language development, social skills, and cognitive abilities in children with hearing loss. It can also enhance their overall quality of life and improve their chances of success in school and beyond.
The “Hamaray Phool” project is a significant step towards creating a more inclusive society that values the well-being and development of all its members.
By providing modern hearing aids and cochlear implants to children with hearing impairments, the Punjab Police is setting an example of how public institutions can contribute to the betterment of society.
Kudos to Punjab Police for this initiative.
