Our phones accumulate germs we aren’t even aware of. It’s that one gadget that we’re using through our the day.
We’re answering to mails, calls, messages and multi-functioning not realizing that we keep our phones at the most random & places full of germs even for a few minutes.
Especially during the Coronavirus pandemic it is extremely important to make a habit of cleaning your phone.
We can use wet wipes or disinfectants but make sure you’re completely sure it won’t harm your phone’s functioning later & ask the maker of your phone before using a random disinfectant.
Also the times you clean your phone in one day totally depends on your exposure & outdoor activities.
Today we’re going to discuss a few simple ways you can clean your phone and make it germ-free.
1. Take Off Your Phone Cover & Use a Nano Cleaning Disinfectant
This is the best way you can disinfect your phone since this product is entirely made for disinfecting electronic gadgets only. Do not spray a lot – take a sufficient amount according to the size of your phone screen and spray it on the backside of your phone & the camera as well.
2. Let It Dry For 2-3 Minutes
If you can’t find a nano cleaner then you can always go for a a Lysol spray as well. It’s better to let it dry on your phone screens for 5-10minutes but even if you don’t want to keep your phone wet for that long – the germs will be gone after the first 2-3 minutes only.
3. Use A Microfiber Cloth Only
Wipe the exterior of your mobile phones very gently with a microfiber cloth. This will instantly remove smudges and germs caused due to contact between the phone’s glass screen and cloth. Microfiber cloth has the ability to remove germs far better than any other washing cloth, towel or paper. Fibers completely absorb the grease.
4. Clean Your Phone Cover
Phone covers accumulate way more dirt than our phones themselves since they protect our phones as a shield. You may repeat the same cleaning process with your phone case but since many of them are made out of hard plastic so using astringent cleaners will be more effective. Apple also states to avoid using bleach on leather surfaces or electronic gadget covers that consist of fabric.
5. Don’t Leave Or Place Your Phones In The Restrooms
Almost all of us of the habit of using our phones & scrolling screens in our bathrooms. Even if you wash your hands before leaving the restroom, there are plenty of germs you accumulated on your phone screens by taking it with you inside. There are uncountable filthy germs lurking in your restrooms and using your phones in there just makes it easier for them to end up on your phone screens.
6. Avoid Using Your Phone In Public Transport
Do not scroll on your screens while you’re on your way through public transit since the germs present on the handles and railings come into contact and easily find space on your phone’s screen. You may use your phones while traveling through a train or ferry as you’re sitting at one place, not frequently touching or grabbing the handles and poles.
