Pakistani Celebrities Criticizing Esra Bilgic
Ever since the news regarding Esra working for Pakistani brands went viral all over the news and social media, some Pakistani celebrities have been condemning this decision and are not happy or supportive about it. They think that Pakistani actors and actresses deserve more chances to endorse Pakistani brands rather than a foreign one. But, we sense that this is some sort of insecurity which the Pakistani actors enthral. There are a number of Pakistani actors and actresses that have collaborated with tons of foreign brands to form creative alliances in the past as well as to date but those opportunities are highly praised by the same celebrities.
This is what Yasir Hussain had to say:
He added:
“Support Pakistani actors. Pakistan Zindabad.”
After Yasir posted his statement, twin sisters Minal Khan and Aiman Khan agreed with him saying:
“Absolutely right” actress Aiman Khan commented.
To which the “Jalan” actress Minal Khan instantly responded:
“Yes because why not Yasir”
Actor Agha Ali took to his Instagram and indirectly responded saying:
“Actors hamesha international hona Pasand karty hain…you feel great when you get an offer from another country… and when a foreign star gets signed by a Pakistani brand….some people start to act and write stuff as if they’d come here and steal our jobs and projects.”
He concluded by adding:
“Allah any apkay naseeb main jo likha hai us say an ziada milega na kam (Whatever Allah has written in your fortune, you will get it). Let’s outsiders feel welcomed here. And please stop making all of us actors insecure. Aanay dou jo aata hai.. and khush raho, mehnat karo. Shukriya (Welcome whoever wants to come here, be happy and work hard. Thanks)”
However, that doesn’t mean that Esra isn’t willing to collaborate or sign up new projects with Pakistani companies and brands! She took to her Instagram story written in Urdu which makes it clear that she is ready to work more in the future and we’re as excited as her!
“My official manager and only representative is Duygu Durukan Cici,” wrote Bilgiç. “Please contact them for any collaborations, ideas or partnerships you have for any project. I have no affiliation with any company outside of Turkey.”
