On 25th Feb 2019, Lahore Police along with Dr. Anoosh Chaudhry confirmed the arrest of the prime suspect involved in the triple murder case in Makkah Colony.
The suspect, identified as Azeem, a 30-year-old relative of the victims, was apprehended during a raid merely hours after he fled the crime scene.
During preliminary interrogation, Azeem confessed to the brutal murders of a 30-year-old woman, her four-year-old son, and her 56-year-old mother-in-law.
Addressing the media, Model Town SP (Investigations) Anoosh Masood Chaudhry stated that the police had successfully recovered the murder weapon from the arrested individual.
“Tracing and apprehending the perpetrator, who callously took the lives of a child and two women, posed a significant challenge,” the officer remarked. She further disclosed that the accused had admitted to stabbing and killing the victims. Azeem was presented before the media in handcuffs, and the police subsequently released the bodies to the grieving family after conducting autopsies. The investigation into the case was still underway.

Breaking gender stereotypes and surpassing her male counterparts, Dr. Anoosh Masood Chaudhry, the Superintendent of Police (Investigation) of Model Town, has been hailed as Lahore’s top crime fighter. Her exceptional performance in solving criminal cases over the past year was highlighted in the annual performance report of the Lahore Police investigation wing.
According to the report, Dr. Anoosh supervised the filing of challans for 74 percent of crime cases in the local courts in the Model Town division (Investigation) in 2018. The Civil Lines division secured the second position, while the Cantonment Division police ranked third, followed by the Iqbal Town police division.

Anoosh Masood Chaudhry’s Educational Background
Dr. Anoosh completed her MBBS degree from Fatima Jinnah Medical College, where she excelled and received the Gold Medal. While working as a house officer at Mayo Hospital, she prepared for the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination. She achieved the 34th position nationwide, securing a place in the police department through open merit.
Throughout her student life and academic pursuits, Dr. Anoosh actively participated in extracurricular activities. She displayed a keen interest in sports and excelled in badminton and tennis, winning numerous trophies at both college and university levels.
Family Life and Career
Many members of Dr. Anoosh’s family are doctors, and she initially pursued medicine as well. However, her desire to explore a different field and serve the community led her to consider pursuing higher education abroad.
Eventually, she decided to postpone those plans. Dr. Anoosh’s husband hails from Abbottabad and is currently undergoing training for Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). The couple has a daughter.
Dr. Anoosh made history as the first woman from Peshawar to pass the CSS examination in 2001. During her interview, which lasted for approximately 45 minutes, she successfully conveyed her passion for joining the police department. Her first posting was in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), where she became the first female Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in the region’s history.
After a year, she was transferred to Punjab, where she served as ASP in Rawalpindi before assuming the role of ASP Defense Lahore. With her subsequent promotion, she was appointed as SP Investigation of Kent Division.
