The Pakistan aviation industry has exciting news to share: the official launch of the air taxi service from Karachi.
This new service promises equal benefits for both travellers seeking leisure or emergency flights, as bookings can be made based on hourly airfare to any destination within Pakistan.
Initially, Sky Wings Aviation introduced the air taxi service to cover all airports, airfields, and landing strips in Sindh and Balochistan.
Imran Aslam, CEO of Sky Wings Aviation, announced the launch with four air taxis ready for service. The introductory hourly airfare for this service stands at Rs 95,000 per hour.
Aslam further stated that in the following stages, the air taxi service would expand to cover all airports in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Each aircraft in the air taxi fleet will accommodate up to three passengers at a time.
Highlighting the initial demand, Aslam mentioned that individuals seeking emergency travel within Sindh and Balochistan, or those interested in pleasure flights for aerial views of Karachi and its surroundings, have already begun reaching out. Bookings for the air taxi service have commenced, with reservations available on the organisation’s website for anyone interested in an aerial tour of Karachi.
Aslam expressed his excitement, likening the launch of the air taxi service to a dream coming true in Pakistan. He also highlighted the potential of the service for conducting aerial surveys of the mangrove forests along Karachi’s coastline.
