Adidas Sports have launched their redesigned sports bras so everyone can find their fit. With their campaign #SupportisEverything, the brand celebrates the diversity of breast sizes and shapes.
If you have shopped at an Adidas store in Pakistan, you must have come across a limited range of sports bras in its section. That’s because of the availability of the garment, which depends on what’s available in the country, and Adidas itself didn’t have a plethora of options to display to cater to women of all shapes and sizes, but now they do.
With its debut of the sports bra line, Adidas has launched 43 new styles and 72 sizes to cater to women of all shapes and sizes.
The ad captioned on Adidas women says, “Support is everything. When you don’t know if you can do it, it’s what gets you through. Support means something different to us all because support is personal. That’s why as part of our commitment to support women however we can, we redesigned our sports bra collection to cater to more women, more bodies, and more sports. Sport should be an inclusive and positive space for all. Let’s support, inspire and learn from one another.”
Adidas highlights, as reported, over 90% of women are wearing the wrong size sports bra. So, they have redesigned their product to help you find the right fit.
The campaign has a strong message; however, the photo grid of 25 pairs of bare breasts being advertised to sell sports bras has received mixed reviews on the internet. Some argue whether the move is liberating or whether it is exploitive? Body image, consumer, lingerie, and marketing experts stand divided about the campaign’s capability ‘to normalize the human body.’
