IBA Alumnus Mr. Abdul Rafay Sheikh Becomes the CEO of Dunkin’ Pakistan

Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Alumnus Mr. Abdul Rafay Sheikh has become the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of multinational coffee and doughnut company Dunkin’ Pakistan.

Mr. Abdul Rafay Sheikh was made CEO after almost 4 years of him joining the company. A great jump start to his career, indeed. He joined Dunkin’ as a Business Associate in 2018. He was promoted two more times before becoming the CEO, once in 2019 as an Area Operations Manager (July 2019 – June 2020) and in 2020 as an Operations Manager (July 2020 – March 2022).

Before joining Dunkin’, Mr. Abdul Rafay Sheikh was a part of several other companies. In the span of 4 years, he joined Softech Worldwide LLC as an Account Manager, Beach Luxury and Avari Hotels as a Project Resource, Indus Motor Company Ltd as Research Associate, 3M as Project Intern, Qordata as a Sales Intern, Dalda Foods Limited as Trade Marketing and Sales Intern, and School of Leadership Foundation as a Social Intern. 

In 2017, Mr. Abdul Rafay Sheikh graduated from the Institite of Business Administration (IBA) in Markering, Sales and Supply Chain. He is currently completing his Masters degree at the Karachi School of Business & Leadership (KSBL) in Business Analytics. 

KSBL congragulated him on his latest milestone. The wrote in a tweet, “We congratulate Abdul Rafay Shaikh on his recent promotion to CEO at International Franchises (Pvt.) Ltd (Dunkin’ Pakistan). Rafay is currently enrolled in our MS Business Analytics Program where we teach real-world applications of analytics in business decision-making.”

IBA also congratulated him on his latest achievement. They wrote in a tweet, ” IBA alumnus appointed as the CEO, Dunkin’ Donuts Pakistan Join us in congratulating Mr. Abdul Rafay Shaikh, BBA Class of 2017, who has been appointed as the CEO, Dunkin’ Donuts Pakistan. We wish him all the best in his new role!”

Earlier, another IBA alumnus from the class of 1988, Sabir Sami, made headlines for becoming the CEO of the global division of KFC. The institute is producing ‘leaders for tomorrow’ – true to its tagline.
