Batool Ijaz, a spirited entrepreneur from Karachi, Pakistan, has carved out a unique space for herself in the picturesque valleys of Indian-administered Kashmir with none other than the crown jewel of Pakistan – its rich delicious food that is loved world over!

In 2015, Batool tied the knot and moved to her new home in Srinagar, (Indian occupied Kashmir). Leaving behind the city of lights, Karachi, she embraced the beautiful but culturally distinct environment of Kashmir. Despite the challenges of adapting to a new way of life, new environment and culture, Batool brought along the vibrant culinary traditions of Karachi, Pakistan and little did she know, these traditions would soon become her entrepreneurial calling which she would pursue with a passion.

What started as a small endeavor to provide Pakistani dishes on a modest scale has now blossomed into a thriving small-scale restaurant. Batool initially catered to a close-knit community, offering delicacies like chapli kebabs, and nihari. Her offerings quickly gained popularity, thanks to their authenticity and rich flavors that she brought back from Karachi. Encouraged by the enthusiastic response she received from the people of Srinagar, she decided to take the leap and set up her own restaurant in the heart of Kashmir after her in-laws encouraged her with praises of her delicious dishes.

Video of Pakistani Woman Giving Biryani to Special Boy Goes Viral

We consume a number of content in the form of videos on social media, however, this particular video of a Pakistani woman giving Biryani to a special boy will melt your heart.

Identified as Krish, the specially-abled balloon seller was seen selling his balloons at the side of the road. A woman, who was identified as Faiza Naeem, stops by him and gives him food.

The Pakistani woman is heard having a sweet conversation with the young lad and helps him pack the condiments. The act brings a smile to the boy’s face and lights up his world.

After handing over the food, she proceeds to ask him how much the balloons cost. She then purchases his entire stock and as gratitude, the sweet boy pinches her cheeks and thanks her.

The identified Pakistani woman, Faiza Naeem is a voice-over artist, social activist, coach, counsellor, and hypnotist. In the caption of the viral video, she described the moment as “the best moment of my life.”

Krish was once again fortunate to meet up with Naeem, who took him to a restaurant for food. He is seen in a few different clips enjoying his time with her and eating additional items including a bowl of ice cream.

Pakistan is a country that is often in the news for political unrest and socio-economic challenges. However, one aspect of the nation that is often overlooked is the generosity and charitable spirit of its people.

Pakistanis are known to be one of the most charitable people in the world, and the country itself is ranked as one of the top charitable nations.

Donations poured in, and volunteers worked tirelessly to provide food and medical supplies to those who were affected by the pandemic.

It is not just during times of crisis that Pakistanis show their generosity. Charitable giving is a part of their daily lives, and they often donate to religious organizations, educational institutions, and hospitals.

Pakistanis also have a culture of giving Zakat, a religious obligation for Muslims, which requires them to donate a portion of their wealth to those in need.

Pakistanis living abroad also contribute significantly to charity organizations in Pakistan. According to a report by the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, Pakistanis living abroad sent a whopping $24.2 billion in remittances to Pakistan in 2020.

These remittances have helped provide a significant boost to the economy and have contributed to numerous charitable organizations.

Pakistani Woman Used as Forced Labour by Family, US Court Takes Action

A Virginia-based family has been sentenced for conspiracy for the years-long forced labour of a Pakistani woman. This sentence was announced at a federal court in Richmond.

Reportedly, Zahida Aman, 80, was sentenced to 144 months in federal prison, Mohammed Rehan Chaudhri, 48, to 120 months in federal prison, and Mohammad Nauman Chaudhri, 55, 60 months of time in federal prison.

Moreover, Aman and Rehan were ordered to pay $250,000 to the victim as compensation for back wages and other financial losses due to their criminal conduct.

In the week-long trial, it was found that this family had kept the Pakistani woman in the shackles of forced labour for 12 years.

The Pakistani Woman Was Forced to Serve Extended Family

Reportedly, the jury convicted all of the defendants of conspiracy to commit forced labour, convicted two of the defendants of forced labour and convicted Aman of document servitude.

Furthermore, in the trial the story uncovered that Aman had arranged for her son’s marriage in 2002, but, even though her husband had moved away from the household, the victim was kept at the defendant’s house to serve their extended family.

“These defendants callously exploited the victim’s vulnerabilities and brutally coerced her labour through physical violence and emotional abuse,” said Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.

“Human trafficking is an affront to human rights and to our nation’s core values. The Department of Justice is committed to vindicating the rights of survivors and bringing human traffickers to justice.”

“Human trafficking is a global issue that cannot be tackled alone,” said Assistant Director Luis Quesada of the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division.

“The FBI will remain committed to investigating all forms of human trafficking and work with our law enforcement partners in combatting the problem.”

Pakistani Woman was Abused & Tortured During 12-Years of Imprisonment

The Pakistani woman was not just a victim of forced labour and imprisonment but also subjected to physical and verbal abuse, as per the evidence presented. Moreover, the family had restricted all communications she had with her family based in Pakistan.

She was threatened that she would be separated from her children and deported to Pakistan, and the family also confiscated her passport, documents, and money. Moreover, the evidence suggests she was slapped, kicked, pushed, beaten with wooden boards, and was even hog-tied and dragged down the stairs in front of her children.

We are at peace knowing that she has received the justice she had long awaited, however, we do request parents to keep an eye out on their daughters and even sons after marriage and pick red flags if there is something fishy.

1 – Never Brush Curly Hair

5 – Use Products only Designed for Curly Hair Type

6 – Stick to a Pre-Shampoo Treatment

A pre-shampoo treatment helps detangle and remove frizz from your hair. It can be a DIY or a store-bought product that may work best for your hair type. Apply it, keep it for 20 minutes and follow it up with a shampoo suitable for curly hair.

7 – Don’t Shampoo too Often

Curly hair takes up a lot of effort and is prone to be touched many times for washing purposes or on a day-to-day basis. It is best to shampoo 2 – 3 times a week, so your hair doesn’t become dry easily. Excessively shampooing your hair can suck out its natural moisture.
