Ali Zafar’s Track ‘Mein Ura’ Releases on Defence Day, Paying Tribute to Pakistan’s Warriors in the Air

Renowned popstar Ali Zafar has released a new single on the 6th of September when all Pakistanis celebrate Defence Day and pay tribute to warriors in air, sea, and land who protect us day and night.

However, Ali’s latest song, ‘Mein Ura’, is dedicated to the warriors in the air this Defence Day. The singer posted teasers on the weekend and finally released his track on YouTube.

He announced the news by posting a final teaser on his Instagram account. He captioned the post, “Hey guys! ‘Mein Ura’ is out now. A tribute to our brave warriors in the air defending us day and night.”

As always, Ali’s lively voice has won our hearts! The song is full of energy and will for sure emerge emotions of patriotism, no matter who listens to it.

The song has been produced in collaboration with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), and so it is uploaded on Pakistan Air Force’s official YouTube channel. The description of the YouTube song said, “5 September 2021: To commemorate the victory of the 1965 War, Pakistan Air Force has released a song titled “Mein Ura”. The song has been sung by renowned singer Ali Zafar.”

The cinematography of the music video has surpassed our expectations and so has the aesthetics.

The music video features “impressive visuals of Pakistani pilots flying fighters jets across the skies based on the theme of paying homage to the incredibly brave services of the heroes of PAF, who fought for the safety of this motherland during the 1965 War.”

According to Ali, the production of song and of course the music video was the most thrilling experience for him. Shooting at the PAF base sure as hell looks like an interesting experience with fighter planes, uniforms, etc. present on shoot location.

This is not the first time Ali Zafar has been given the opportunity to produce patriotic songs. His song for PSL, Ab Khel Jamay Ga, Dil Se Jaan Laga De, Paharon Ki Qasam have been popular among the masses.

Defence Day or Youm-e- Difa is celebrated every year on the 6th of September in Pakistan as a national day to commemorate the sacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers in defending our borders. Be it the armed forces, the airforce or the naval forces, without the selfless sacrifices of our ‘qoum k jawaan’ (male and female both), Pakistan would not have been what is it today- it would not have even come to life.

Defence Day: Pakistan Armed Forces Ranked as the 10th Most Powerful Military in the World

Defence Day is celebrated in Pakistan on the 6th of September. It is considered a national day to celebrate the sacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers in defending its borders. This Defence Day, we must celebrate the Pakistan Army who has become the 10th most powerful in the world after Israel and Canada. The ranking is released by Global Firepower index 2021 on its official website and Pakistan is the only country in the top 15 that improved its ranking.

How Does Global Firepower Rank Militaries Across the World?

As any ranking authority, the list of Global Firepower (GFP) to rank armies worldwide reply on 50+ individual factors to determine a nation’s PowerIndex (‘PwrIndx’) score. These range from military strength, equipment, natural resources, financials to logistical capability and geography.

According to the official Global Firepower site, they use a formula to rank militaries across the globe. “Our unique, in-house formula allows for smaller, more technologically-advanced, nations to compete with larger, lesser-developed ones and special modifiers, in the form of bonuses and penalties, are applied to further refine the annual list.”

Turkey, Italy, Egypt, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Australia were also among outstanding militaries. However, when it came to ranking, Pakistan’s military left them behind. For defence purposes, Pakistan dedicates $7 billion from its budget each year. (Changes may occur each year accordingly)

“For 2021, Pakistan is ranked 10 of 140 out of the countries considered for the annual GFP review. It holds a PwrIndx* score of 0.2073 (a score of 0.0000 is considered ‘perfect’)”

While Angola, Bulgaria and Syria declined in the ranking, the United States military ranked as the most powerful armed force in the world. Following the US, Russia and China made a close call whilst India retained the fourth slot.
