Pakistan’s very own Sarah Ahmad has won an international award for services in preventing kids’ exploitation. This is a great honour for Pakistan, as Sarah gets recognized for her services to Children’s Safety and Welfare.
Ahmad was awarded the Heros Gala by Global Collaborative in Rome, Italy. She is the Chairperson of the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau (CPB).
The CPB chairperson said receiving the award was an honour for her and for Pakistan as well. She said that she had dedicated the Award to all children of Pakistan.
Apart from Pakistan, only 10 people across the world had been honoured with the Global Collaboration Award for working to prevent child exploitation and protection of their rights.
The chairperson further said that her goal was to protect all vulnerable and neglected children and to prevent child exploitation.
Sarah Ahmad received the “Global Collaborative Award” from Dr Jennifer Wortham, CEO of Global Collaborative. She took it to her Twitter to share the news. She wrote:

She added, ‘I thank everyone who has supported my journey in this cause. I thank Chairman Imran Khan for appointing me & giving me the opportunity to make my country proud. Also, grateful to CM Punjab Pervaiz Ellahi for all his support.’
Global Collaborative is a collaboration of over 50 international child welfare and advocacy organisations, faith-based institutions, survivor networks, and governments working together to protect children and bring healing to survivors of abuse.
“There is more responsibility than ever to protect children from exploitation and protect their rights, and I will fulfil this responsibility in a better way,” Sarah Ahmad vowed.
