Pakistani student Aqsa Majeed Memon is the youngest record holder in the world to complete the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
At the mere age of 18, when students are trying to pass their intermediate or A-Levels, Memon set a different goal and achieved it with flying colors. Her achievement also makes her the youngest Pakistani to complete the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Aqsa comes from a small town in Shaheed Benazirabad district, originally hailing from Sakrand. Memon has credited her family for this achievement as they made significant efforts for her to achieve her goal, and especially her father, who stood by her side, no matter what. Aqsa’s father runs a family business in her hometown.
Road to Success
Since Aqsa had only completed her matriculation, it was important for her to clear a total of seven foundations of accounting courses. Once she cleared these courses, it is then that she was able to attempt the ACCA qualification. Aqsa put in all her effort and took a total of nine months to complete these courses.
On the completion of foundation courses, she had to attempt 11 subjects to achieve ACCA qualification, instead of 14 courses. This exemption of 3 courses was made due to her clearing 7 foundation courses. Aqsa worked hard day and night and cleared her remaining 11 courses within 2 years. It is notable to mention that the girl didn’t fail in a single subject.
Memon, who began her journey at the age of 15, says that “one needs to work tirelessly and believe in themself to achieve something extraordinary.” She advises young students to study as much as possible as it is the only way to prove their strength.
