It is the beginning of December, and the winter season is finally here. We all know what’s coming next: of course, the desi shadi season.
Most Pakistani weddings take place during this period. There are several reasons why this is the golden period to get married. These include the shadi halls that offer great rates, travel choices after the wedding functions end, and foreign Pakistanis can fly here to attend the wedding as it is holiday season across the globe. The weather is just perfect for heavy makeup and couture.
Each year, we see a certain trend that goes around in circles. We witness the similarities, from one shadi to another. Post COVID-19 restrictions in Pakistan, this shadi season has already generated a few trends that are as follows:
Either the Bride or Groom Family are Planning Monumental Events, or they have now Adapted to Small COVID-19 Weddings.
Everyone who arranged COVID-19 weddings got married, attended these weddings, realized how it is perfectly ok to get married in smaller events. And so, this time of the year – either people choose to go big because they can, or they are sticking to how weddings took place last year.
Of All Mehndi Designs, This one has made it to the Top for some particular reason. Brides either don’t want to indulge in filling their hands with mehndi or just this particular design.
Day Weddings have become a thing now!
Most people are now keeping day weddings that begin at 4 pm or 5 pm. This is because it works well with the photoshoot schedule. Everyone wants their wedding photos to be taken during the golden hour.
The bride and groom head out to get ready from 11 am to12 pm. Once they are ready, they head straight out to their shoots and then to the event. In this way, they don’t wait for the event to begin at 8 pm.
The FOOD!!
We all know shadi food is our ultimate favourite thing about desi weddings. However, the trend of serving street food on Mehndi Mayon has won our hearts. From bun kebab, to gol gappay, and chat. What more could one ask for?
Additionally, pasta is available on shadi’s, and valima for people who are not in the mood for desi food.
