Pakistani Scientist Dr. Sarah Qureshi is the wonder woman behind the world’s first eco-friendly aircraft engine. The aircraft being built in Pakistan’s global aviation industry was supposed to be ready between mid-to-late 2020; however, no news of the aircraft being ready has surfaced. We are assuming the delay is due to the worldwide lockdowns due to the pandemic.
The technological marvel’s inventor, Dr. Qureshi, has been dedicated to this single project for the past 3 years (2018). The aim is to eliminate the adverse impact of commercial airplanes on the stratosphere that contributes to global warming.
Contrail Phenomenon
If you’ve seen a plane fly in the air, you must have noticed a visible streak of smoke behind the jet being emitted in the air. This causes harmful effects on Earth’s atmosphere and must be abolished to preserve the planet from being further contaminated.
How did Dr. Sarah Qureshi Embark on this Mission?
Dr. Sarah Qureshi is an environmentalist at heart. She was at Cranfield University, the United Kingdom, doing her academic research, which she turned into a save-the-planet effort. Her love for the planet embarked her on this mission to build the world’s first pollution-free jet engine.
Qureshi claims that the world aviation industry had worked excessively to extract commercial value by building fuel-efficient engines and completely ignored developing the technology.
Global Warming
Climate change is real, and so is global warming. The temperatures have been rising, Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets shrinking, oceans warming up, glaciers retreating, Arctic sea life diminishing, and oceans acidifying as carbon dioxide levels climb an all-time high.
The discussion of climate change has grown intense as activists and people who realize the weight of the matter across the world have highlighted over and over again the environmental risks and spread information about what has been happening.
Until we ourselves do not look for answers, the Earth will not remain a place to live for future generations to come. Have something to add? Let us know in the comment section below.
