Mira Sethi’s debut book, Are You Enjoying?, has been included in the best books to read in 2021 by Vogue. The book has also won a spot on Refinery29‘s list of 50 books to read in 2021. It is an honor for Pakistan that our very own writers receive enthusiastic approval from international publications such as Vogue and Refinery29.
Mira’s debut book is a collection of short stories that are set in Pakistan. According to Vogue, Are You Enjoying? is a ”
‘powerful book with a light touch’ told through the emotions and exploits of Sethi’s characters.
Chloe Schama, the senior editor at Vogue, says,

When is ‘Are You Enjoying?’ Releasing?
Mira herself disclosed that the book is coming out in April 2021. She mentioned this in a live session with her aunt, Moni Mohsin, famous for her satirical column The Diary of a Social Butterfly and a book that came out later with the same name. Mira said,
“I wanted to make a formal announcement but since this is ghar ki baat, my book is coming out in April 2021. I am so happy because it kept getting delayed, and I’m due to get the first edit of the book any day now.”
The list of best books to Read in 2021 features many books including American actor Sharon Stone’s memoir The Beauty of Living Twice and Whereabouts by Jhumpa Lahiri.
