They might look super complicated to make, but they are actually easier than you think and can be made in just an hour.
So if you also want to try croissant cereal, check out the recipe below!
Ingredients
The ingredients you need are:
500 g all-purpose flour
140 g milk
40 g soft unsalted butter
12 g salt
55 g sugar
1 egg (room temperature)
Method
The first step of the recipe is to activate the yeast by mixing it with warm milk and sugar and let it sit for at least 10 minutes. Put the mixture in flour, butter, salt and enough water to make it a dough. Kneel it for 10 minutes until it becomes soft and put it in a refrigerator for 30 minutes to let it rise.
If you want to skip this step, you can also buy a ready-made dough which is easily available in every local supermarket.
Now take a lightly floured rolling pin and start rolling out on a flour-dusted surface and then slice them into small triangle shapes with a knife or pizza cutter.
Brush it with butter, or you can even add about one teaspoon of Nutella, and then roll each triangle into a mini croissant. coat each croissant with egg wash and let them sit for 10 minutes again on a baking tray to puff. Pop them in the preheated oven for 6 minutes at 195ºC and again leave for a few minutes on the baking sheet.
These teeny tiny and yummy croissants are ready and now you enjoy it with milk and with your favorite toppings like chocolate hazelnut spread, peanut butter, maple syrup, or even fresh fruits.
The best part about any of this mini cereal recipe is that you can customize it according to your taste and inspire others with your recipe.
