No one can imagine what 14-year-old Rizwana is going through. The little girl was living a happy life until she became a victim of domestic violence by her employers.

Rizwana was a minor yet was working as a housemaid. She was allegedly subjected to brutal torture by the wife of a civil judge in Islamabad.

The spouse of Civil Judge Asim Hafeez, who serves at the Federal Judicial Academy, allegedly subjected her maid to torture, accusing her of stealing gold jewellery. The young girl was subsequently returned to her parents, who took her to Sargodha for medical treatment before relocating her to Lahore.

Although Rizwana was there only for 6 months, she had more than 15 torture marks, allegedly she was also forced to drink Harpic when she had asked for water, her wounds became so bad and rotten that maggots had started to feed on the little girl.

PM Assures Justice for Rizwana

The Prime Minister called for a comprehensive report and instructed Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured girl.
