Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi is gearing up to make his return to our TV Screens with ‘Jaan-e-Jahan’ opposite Ayeza Khan.
The upcoming show has been penned by ‘Khudgharz’ famed writer, Rida Bilal, and helmed by ‘Meri Shehzadi’ director Qasim Ali Mureed.
While we still aren’t over Hamza Ali Abbasi’s performance in The Legend of Maula Jatt, we are looking forward to him mesmerising us on the smaller screen with Jaan-e-Jahan.
Abbasi shared this news earlier on his social media with the caption:
“Happy to introduce you to the captivating world of our upcoming project Jaan-e-Jahan written by Rida Bilal, directed by Qasim Ali Mureed,” an Instagram post read. “Produced by Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz coming soon on a TV screen near you!”

Early Life and Education
Abbasi completed his early education in Multan and moved to Islamabad for higher education. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. Later, he pursued a Master’s degree in the same field from the same university.
Career
Abbasi started his career as a theatre actor, and his first play was Dally in the Dark, which was directed by Shah Shahid. After his successful theatre career, he moved towards the television industry and made his acting debut with the drama serial “Meray Dard Ko Jo Zuban Miley” in 2012. The same year, he appeared in the drama serial “Burka Avenger” and played the character of Vadero Pajero.
In 2013, Abbasi appeared in the drama serial “Pyarey Afzal,” which proved to be a turning point in his career. He played the lead role of Afzal in the drama, which received immense critical acclaim and commercial success. The drama also earned him the Best Actor Award at the Lux Style Awards in 2014.
After his successful stint as an actor, Abbasi turned towards direction and produced and directed his first film, “Maula Jatt 2,” which was released in 2019. The film starred Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and Hamza Ali Abbasi himself in the lead roles.
Abbasi has also been a part of several hit dramas such as “Alif Allah Aur Insaan,” “Man Mayal,” and “Waar,” a film in which he played the character of Ehtesham, a Pakistani soldier.
Personal Life
Abbasi is known for his vocal opinions on social and political issues. He has been a part of several debates and discussions on Pakistani television channels and has been quite active on social media. Abbasi married Naimal Khawar Khan, a Pakistani actress and painter, in August 2019, and the couple has a son together.
