Flesh n Fantasy is Pakistan’s first women-owned special effects makeup brand.
With the industry growing each year, SFX artists in Pakistan have had trouble previously with the materials available to them to create desired looks. Some used makeup and craftsy material to achieve their looks, others got products from overseas; these products are not just difficult to acquire but are also pricey. It was clear that there was a great gap in the market.
The owners of the brand, SFX makeup artists themselves, Maham and Najia identified the gap in the market. So, they sought this venture and in pursuit became the first special effects makeup brand in Pakistan. The brand comprises a locally manufactured special effects product line that can be used to create SFX looks for the screen or for events. In the beginning, the business started off with basic special effects products. In time, they expanded and came out with more products to fulfill the creative needs of makeup artists.
Because the owners were SFX artists themselves, they understood the problems and aimed their brand at providing professional SFX materials to artists at an affordable rate. This was solely done to provide the SFX industry with the products that were scarce in Pakistan.
While speaking to a local media outlet, Propergaanda, the owner’s said “We both make a great team and coordinate well with each other. It’s strange but equally amazing to have a level of trust and level of understanding with someone you just met. We mutually make decisions regarding our business and understand each other’s perspectives very well.”
