Prepare it at Home!
This fantastic winter candy can easily be prepared at home. Prepare a hot jaggery syrup with as less water as possible. Once your syrup is ready, add your favourite nuts or seed, and coat them with the syrup. One all your ingredients are coated transfer the sticky hot chikki in a wooden mould. At this point, you have to work quickly as the jaggery will start cooling down after nuts and other items are added. Roll it to a thickness you prefer with a wooden roller, but 6-8 mm is ideal. Once your chikki takes shape, transfer to a steel plate and let it cool completely and just before it hardens up, cut it into bite-size or single serving size treats. That is about it. Enjoy!
