On Sunday, the news of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan taken into the custody of India’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) was making rounds on social media. SRK’s son was allegedly caught in possession of banned drugs while onboard a cruise ship. Additionally, the authorities also reported substance abuse.
Since then, the media has been dragging Aryan’s parents, Shah Rukh Khan and Ghauri Khan, in the headlines. The custody of Aryan has been extended till October 7, upon which a few Bollywood celebrities and Politicians expressed their concern.
Proceedings are on; let the law takes its course, urge celebs from the fraternity.
Reportedly, Indian actor Salman Khan visited Shah Rukh’s home Mannat in Mumbai after the arrest. To highlight that the Aryan Khan’s arrest is a witch hunt, singer Mika Singh tweeted, “Wow, what a beautiful @CordeliaCruisesI wish I could have visited. I heard lots of people were there, but I couldn’t see anyone else accept #AaryanKhan .. Itne bade cruse mei Sirf aariyan hi ghoom raha tha kya.. hadd hai.. good morning have a wonderful day.”

Indian film director Hansai Mehta also took it to Twitter. He said in a tweet, “It is painful for a parent having to deal with a child getting into trouble. It gets compounded when people begin to arrive at judgments before the law takes its course. It is disrespectful and unfair to the parent and to the parent-child relationship. With you @iamsrk”

Congress leader and Kerala MP Shashi Tharoor also tweeted in support of Shah Rukh Khan and his family. He said in a tweet, “I am no fan of recreational drugs & haven’t ever tried any, but I am repelled by the ghoulish epicaricacy displayed by that now witch-hunting @iamsrk on his son’s arrest. Have some empathy, folks. The public glare is bad enough; no need to gleefully rub a 23yr old’s face in it.”.

Indian actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi also tweeted in support of the family. She said in her tweet that Bollywood is being targeted. There were NCB raids earlier on filmstars, too, and nothing was found.
For all those targetting #Bollywood remember all the #NCB raids on filmstars? Yes nothing was found and nothing was proved. #Bollywood gawking is a tamasha. Its the price of fame

The chief of NCB has said in a statement to the Indian news agency, PTI, that there is an association with Bollywood in this case. “We are investigating all angles of the case. We are looking at the main supplier and the entire cartel behind this drugs case.”
Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan also took it to social media to express her concern in the case. She said, “It’s sad n unfair as he is a good kid. I stand by Gauri n Shahrukh.” She added, “I think this is not about Aryan Khan, as he was unfortunately at the wrong place at the wrong time; this situation is being made an example of driving home the excitement that some people get as they have a witch hunt on people from Bollywood.”
Suniel Shetty also defended Aryan at a public event. He said, “I would like to say that wherever there is a raid, several people are caught. And we assume that this child must have consumed drugs, or this child must have done it. But the proceedings are on. Give that child a chance to breathe … Whenever something happens in Bollywood, the media scrutinizes everything and jumps to conclusions. Give the child a chance. Let the truth come out. It is our responsibility to take care of the child.”
