Following the uproar on Social media after Nomaika shared evidence of her bruises and other reports, ARY anchor Ashfaq Satti has shared his personal statement on the matter over social media. He says he is innocent and under ‘mental agony’ after the reaction by the vast majority of people.
In his video he talks about his 17 year old career and addressed the dispute with his second wife Nomaika Tahir Mehmood over the case of domestic violence. He suggested people to listen to both sides of the story and expressed disappointment in his tarnished public image, discouraged a media trial, and placed faith in the justice system’s ongoing investigation.
Responding to rumors about his third wife, Zara Ansari, Satti clarified their three-year marriage, denying violence allegations. He criticized anchor Rabia Anam for not seeking his perspective before personal criticisms. Satti revealed receiving threatening calls, holding Anam responsible for any harm that may befall him, his wife, or his children.

My husband Ashfaque Satti who is a News Anchor & Program host on ARY News picked me up from my mother’s house. Later , he beat me like an animal while character assassinating …He grabbed me from my hair, dragged me across the floor & knocked my head repeatedly against the walls and door. He sat on my chest trying to choke me multiple times.He put the pillow on my face to stop me from breathing. He repeatedly said: “Tumhe Mar Kar Tumhari Laash Gaeb Kar Du Ga.” “Aaj Tu marray Gi Yaha Mere Hath Sy.” He beat me for hours and then locked me in my room.He took away my son ( 1.5 years old). He left me in the dark room badly injured without food and water while I continuously begged for help. I begged for mercy.
“Allah Ka Wasta Hai Ashfaq Mujhe Janay Den. Allah Ka wasta Hai Ashfaq Mujhe Chor Den.” I begged him & his mother several times. She was also there at home while all of it was happening to me.”
