Pakistani celebrity, radio jockey and morning show host Anoushey Ashraf is known for standing up for human rights and kindness. She has recently started a weekly series on Mental Health Awareness called #igotyou with different renowned Pakistani celebrities.
She aims to inspire the current and upcoming generation and let them know that they are not alone in suffering anxiety and stress.
The first episode of the #igotyou series features the very beautiful Pakistani actress Syra Yousuf. The actor who recently went through a divorce with Shahroz Sabzwari. There was a lot of talk about it on social media and more so when Shahroz married Pakistani model and celebrity Sadaf Kanwal. Syra was praised for her grace and attitude through it all. It can’t be easy when you are in the spotlight and your personal issues start trending on social media. But our favorite girl is back with a bang and nothing can bring her down. Her resilience is to be admired.Syra has now signed up as a brand ambassador for many famous brands including one of the most popular mobile brands in Pakistan, Oppo F17 Pro along with Pakistani singing sensation Asim Azhar.

Anoushey Ashraf was the host of Oppo’s F17 Pro launch that took place earlier this week. While on the sets of the show, Anoushey asked Syra about her way of coping with anxiety, how she keeps herself calm during a turmoil when things are not perfect in her life.
Syra answered that the best way she keeps herself calm is through meditation and the first step towards healing is acknowledging that you have a problem and recognizing the fact that there is absolutely no harm in seeking help.
Syra adds that now many celebrities have started sharing their own stories related to chronic depression and mental illness through social media. This is the best way for people to stand up for themselves and work on their mental health and there are plenty of options available now. Talking to somebody regarding your state of mind helps a lot in terms of depression.
Anoushey Ashraf’s initiative with a series of short interviews every week with famous celebrities will encourage others to acknowledge and deal with issues on mental health. She has always been vocal about spreading Mental Health Awareness as she has personally dealt and struggled with it when she broke up after years of being in a relationship.
We hope this initiative helps people stand up for themselves and realize the fact that they don’t have to walk down the road of mental illness alone.
