Pakistani singer Aima Baig has been named ‘Top Local Female Artists in Pakistan 2021’.
Spotify Pakistan’s official Instagram page congratulated the star on achieving the milestone. The female singer rose to stardom with her debut song Kalabaaz Dil.
She also took it to her Instagram and shared her most significant accomplishment on the international platform. The 26-year-old star expressed gratitude towards fans. She captioned the post, “Most streamed female artist Pakistan 2021. I kid you not, this is all a Dream come true.”
Spotify listed the Malang singer among the “queens of Pakistani music.”
Baig is a Pakistani but was raised in Oman. She received her Bachelor of Film and Television from the University of Lahore. She briefly appeared in Mazaaq Raat, a show on Dunya News, for two years between 2015 to 2017. Later, she rose to fame after she sang for Lahore Se Aagey in 2016. She continued to gain popularity for many of her soundtracks and her later her appearance in Coke Studio.
She was also awarded Tamgha-e-Fakhre-Imtiaz in August 2019.
Aima Baig got engaged to Shahbaz Shigri in an intimate event surrounded by close friends and family at a private ceremony in July. The celebration took place after a couple of months of announcing their engagement (March 20) on social media. While there were lesser people present at the engagement ceremony (of course, due to COVID), many celebrities and model friends such as Abeer Rizvi, Areeba Habib and actor Hira Mani congratulated the couple on social media.
On the other end, Atif Aslam was listed as the ‘Top Local Artists in Pakistan 2021″ by Spotify.
