Pakistani actress Nadia Jamil, popularly known for her dramas ‘Behadd’ ‘ Raat Chali Hai Jhoom Ke, Meri Jaan and ‘Balu Mahi’ recently got appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for ‘Child Protection and Welfate Bureau’
Nadia loves children and for her, spending time with children who are worthy of love and attention is all she needs to get back her energy.
She recently posted a few videos from her past on her Instagram and shared her love for kids with her followers;
Other than that, she posted another adorable video in which she’s telling kids stories with her soulful energy and it’s clear how much the children love her back. This will definitely make your day!
Nadia Jamil was diagnosed with 1st stage breast cancer earlier this year and the woman has been battling the disease bravely ever since she has known. The actress took to her Instagram with a picture of herself post chemo-therapy, making a victory sign, saying”

While on her way home after leaving the hospital, she added:
“I can finally see the sky and smell the air. We did it!”
Nadia Jamil returned to the small screen and made her comeback after battling with Cancer in the drama ‘Damsa’ which came out in November 2019. The drama showcases child-trafficking.
The story starts off with a loving bond between the family and the mother-daughter duo. Unfortunately a day comes when someone from the beggar mafia kidnaps Damsa to make her beg on the streets. The mother decides to go against all odds to bring her daughter back home safe and sound. Innocent Damsa has to go through a forceful surgery by the predators to make her look like a beggar. However, the mother stays persistent yet adamant to bring her daughter back.
Nadia Jamil is indeed a woman of grit and grace. She is popularly recognized due to her advocacy for the rights of women, children and minorities. Her constant efforts to improve these issues in our society have made a special place in the hearts of all Pakistanis. She has always been loud and clear about major problems like, terrorism, domestic violence, child abuse and inhumane behavior towards the less unfortunate.
Nadia Jamil also shared that she was sexually abused when she was four, the actress was very much vocal about it on Twitter and here’s what she had to say;
She added that it didn’t stop there.
“I was in college when it blew out of proportion. People tell me not to talk to respect my family’s honour. Is my family’s honour packed in my body? I am a proud, strong, loving survivor. No shame on me or my kids. Only pride for being me,” Nadia added in the same tweet.
She continued the traumatizing happenings and wrote,
I was 4 the first time I was abused sexually. I was in college when it blew out of proportion.

According to Nadia, the only way to stop sexual abuse is to educate people in this regard.
“The cure is literacy, poverty alleviation and an empathetic education that counters all patriarchal, misogynistic discourse on women, womens bodies and male entitlement to sexual gratification for power. PLUS awareness and protection workshops for kids, schools, parents.”
