Talented Pakistani athlete Fatimatuz Zehra has made her homeland very proud. She has successfully participated in and won the bronze medal at the International Taekwondo Russian Open Championship in Russia.
Fatima won the quarterfinal by beating Honk Kong’s Tung Kwok 9-0, 12-2, but lost in the semifinals of the 53kg category to Russia’s Sokolova Vladislava 2-1, 14-7. In the -63kg contest, Russian Alexandar Grigorey beat Pakistan’s Arbaz Khan 8-7, 10-4, and 18-10 respectively.
Pakistan Taekwondo Federation President Col (retd) Waseem Ahmed Janjua, CEO Omar Saeed, Head Coach Yousuf Karami, and team Manager Zubair Macha have felicitated Fatima on winning Bronze Medal and termed it as a good omen the women’s sports in the country.

“Winning several medals by Pakistani female taekwondo athletes in recent international events indicates that the future of women’s sports is bright in Pakistan.” – Federation officials.
They said the future of women’s sports was bright in the country and athletes like Fatimatuz Zehra have proved this statement to be correct.
The ongoing sports tournaments have intrigued young girls’ interest in the profession. These women are talented and have what it takes to represent Pakistan in different tournaments across the globe.
