The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has announced that fully vaccinated people can visit cinemas in Pakistan soon, probably from the coming weekend.
Relaxations in COVID restrictions have been announced as the number of daily cases has significantly fallen. The forum has also lifted the “safe day” restriction due to which shops, markets and malls were closed once a week to curb the virus.
Besides cinemas, shrines have also been given a green signal by the forum to reopen for vaccinated people. For indoor weddings, only three hundred vaccinated guests are allowed. And for outdoor weddings, 500 people who are fully vaccinated will be allowed. These directives will be implemented from 16th to 21st October. So the chances of you watching a movie in a cinema next weekend are higher.
Please note that is it crucial to carry vaccination cards or certificates to enter malls, restaurants, cinemas and during domestic and international air travel. According to NCOC’s data, 34.8 million Pakistanis have been vaccinated against COVID-19. The forum’s chief, Asad Umar, earlier announced that the government had improved its Covid strategy.
“Instead of closing industries and businesses, we will increase the restrictions on unvaccinated individuals,” he said.
If you are not vaccinated, you are banned from travelling by air. You are not allowed to attend gatherings or weddings. You can’t enter shopping malls. You can’t check in to hotels or guest houses, and you can’t dine in at restaurants.
If not vaccinated, you will not be permitted to teach at an educational institute or work as staff. You will not be allowed to work as transport staff or schools, colleges, and universities.
