Today is Pakistan’s first female Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto‘s 14th death anniversary. In a society like ours, she was the first to break the shackles of patriarchy and took her seat at the table at the age of 35 in 1988.
Benazir was a secularist, liberal and the first woman to head a democratic government in a Muslim majority. She was a force to reckon with; fierce, graceful, courageous and also kind-hearted who attracted a lot of support from the Western nation.
