In the past couple of years, Pakistani dramas and films have garnered a great reputation for realistic narratives. The industry has explored quite a bit by now, in terms of content, good and ugly both, and knows what really works with the masses.
Certain Pakistani dramas have crossed the expectations of the audiences so much so that they are popular even outside Pakistan and have been watched over and over again internationally as audiences appreciate characters, acting, storyline, etc. For some time now, we haven’t spotted a masterpiece such as that yet, but have found out new dramas that are aligned to release this summer, and hold potential to become a hit in Pakistan and overseas.

1 – Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay
Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay is a drama serial directed by Farooq Rind and produced by Nina Kashif in collaboration with MD Productions. For this drama, Mahira Khan has made a comeback to dramas and fans are particularly excited about her entry after 8 years. The drama is written by renowned writer Umera Ahmed. The show will release on the HUM TV network.
2 – Laapata
The Drama serial Laapata produced under the banner of Momina Duraid is about to hit our screens very soon. The upcoming drama serial features actress Ayeza Khan & Sara Khan who are going to appear together in one frame. Other cast members include actor Ali Rehman and Gohar Rasheed among others. The show will be aired on HUM Tv.
3 – Paarizaad
Another masterpiece to be aired on HUM Tv from 20th July is based on a novel by Hashim Nadeem of the same title. The drama has garnered a fan following for its already gut-wrenching narrative. The cast includes big stars such as Urwa Hocane, Ushna Shah, Yumna Zaidi, Saboor Ali, Nauman Ijaz, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Syed Muhammad Ahmed among others. The show is directed b Shehzad Kashmiri and produced by Momina Duraid.
4 – Ishq-E-Laa
Upcoming drama serial Ishaq e Laa has been making headlines due to its stellar cast featuring: Yumna Zaidi, Sajal Aly, and Azaan Sami Khan, who is appearing in a drama serial on television for the very first time. The show is directed by Amin Iqbal, is written by Qaisra Hayat, and produced by Momina Duraid Productions.
5 – Yun to Hai Pyar Bohut
Yun to Hai Pyar Bohut is penned by writer Aliya Bukhari and directed by Kashif Saleem, while it is produced by Momina Duraid productions & Film Factory. Even though the drama serial has already begun to be on-air on Hum Tv, more and more people are looking forward to watching the drama because of its daunting storyline. The cast of the show includes Hira Mani, Affan Waheed, Nadia Hussain, Javed Sheikh,Abeer Qureshi, Sabeena, Hina Chaudhary, Aqsa Hussain, Rizwan Ali Jaffri.
