Pakistani actress Zara Tareen has passed on remarks towards actor, host, and producer Fahad Mustafa through cryptic messages on social media.
On Tuesday, Zara posted a cryptic message that said, “I’m not sure reviews damage films or the industry in any way but doing films for free as a rule certainly damages the market for an entire profession, so #ShuttupMufasa”
Even though Hira didn’t use the star’s name, it was clear that the message was directed at him. From Tareen’s first message, it looks like Fahad allegedly did a film for free, which of course, damages the market for actors in the field.
Fahad posted a message on Instagram 4 days ago explicitly targeting bloggers who review films quickly. He said it can “damage the film big time.” In Fahad’s opinion, the Pakistani film industry needs support right now, and “your [bloggers] reviews can wait.”
It seems like something stirred up behind the curtains after Tareen’s first message. To further prove her point and throw some more shade at Fahad, she posted another cryptic message, an apology, of course, not the kind the Fahad must have been expecting.
She wrote, “I wholeheartedly take back my words. I should not have insulted Mufasa by using his name, she said, referring, of course, to the character from the 1994 animated film The Lion King.”
She further added, “He deserved more respect than that. Using his name in place of a loudmouth, unprofessional, entitled, badtameez [ill mannered] brat was uncalled for. The Lion King was legendary, and Mufasa was wise and respectful and still gets amazing reviews because he earned them.”
Clearly, the two of them are in some kind of brawl, and social media users are here for the drama.
