Just when we thought we were not going to hear any good news this year, the makers of the movie ‘Tom and Jerry” released its trailer. The fun-filled trailer brings the popular cartoon back from the 90s to our screens. We have collectively enjoyed the cartoon all across our childhood and now, as an adult, get ready to witness the duo take on New York City.
Even though we were happy to see the trailer, we do not know if, in reality, Tom and Jerry will be able to take their cat-and-mouse game to the big screen due to COVID-19. However, the moviemakers have announced its release in the theatre in the coming year – 2021.
You begin to watch the trailer and wonder maybe after all these years, these two have figured out things among themselves, and this would rather be a friendly encounter. However, it doesn’t last long as Jerry tricks Tom into getting hit by a truck, and that’s just the inception of their long-drawn modern-day dispute.
The trailer further shows that Jerry has taken up residence in a fancy hotel preparing for a high-profile wedding. The event planner is given the job of getting rid of the mouse. Rather than approaching exterminators, she seeks to hire a mouse’s natural rival, a cat aka Tom as the lobby boy.
We continue to witness signature fights of the duo in a world populated by humans and cartoons. The cat and mouse battle advances and threatens to damage her profession, the wedding of the century, and the hotel itself. But soon as events unfold, we learn that an evil and the ambitious staffer is actually plotting against all three of them.
