Controversial personality Andrew Tate is always finding a way to keep his name in the headlines. This time around, social media is buzzing with the news of Tate’s conversion to Islam.
Tam Khan, British Muslim and ex-MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter posted a video offering namaz (prayers) alongside Tate.
The video, which is captioned ‘Alhamdhulillah’ meaning ‘praise be to God’ in Arabic, shows Andrew Tate mirroring Tam Khan’s movements as he prays in what appears to be a satin suit.
Around halfway through the video another man dressed similarly to Khan comes into view and joins the men in prayer and at the end of the clip, Khan shakes Tate’s hand.

While some celebrate another brother’s conversion to Islam, others call him out. As many already know, Andrew Tate is a highly controversial figure.
Tate is widely known for his remakes towards women and has been very vocal about them. He believes a woman belongs inside the house, can’t drive, and is a man’s property.
He also thinks rape victims must “bear responsibility” for their attacks and dates women aged 18–19 because he can “make an imprint” on them, according to videos posted online.
In other clips, the British-American kickboxer poses with fast cars, and guns and portrays himself as a cigar-smoking playboy – talks about hitting and choking women, trashing their belongings and stopping them from going out.
“It’s bang out the machete, boom in her face and grip her by the neck. Shut up b**ch,” he says in one video, acting out how he’d attack a woman if she ever accuses him of cheating. In another, he describes throwing a woman’s things out of the window. In a third, he calls an ex-girlfriend who accused him of hitting her – an allegation he denies – a “dumb h**”.
Despite all this, his net worth $355mn.
Social Media Reacts to Andrew Tate Converting to Islam
Here’s how social media reacted:
converting to islam absolves you of your personal sins but it does not absolve you of your crimes towards others which you refuse to take accountability for. i don’t care if andrew tate is muslim. i care whether or not this community cares that he’s an unrepentant sex trafficker.

Andrew Tate does not in the slightest, represent the morals and values that Islam upholds, he and his little sorry little excuse of fanboy supporters lie, twist and turn the religion’s preachings and are not at all accepted nor supported by any of us with a functioning brain

Andrew Tate has indeed accepted Islam.
His past sins have been wiped and he is reborn.
However, he now has accepted a huge responsibility. Allah swt forgives but he also has demands on how Muslims must behave and worship. #AndrewTate #Islam https://t.co/zbbFzLEQ31

The thing is, you can't bluff your way through Islam like you can some other religions. This person (whom I only recently became aware of) deserves the benefit of the doubt on his "conversion". If it is sincere, he will make effort to acknowledge and correct his wrong doings.
