We have seen Sadaf Kanwal owning the ramp when she walks down showcasing a designer’s work. She’s equally in command during her photoshoots, on TV and in films. However, the model turned actress didn’t appear in a lot of interviews until 2018. This was when she made statements that were considered controversial such as the one on the #MeToo movement during an interview alongside Amna Ilyas on Tonight with HSY.
In a recent interview, however, Sadaf had something positive to say. Upon inquiry of the host, Begum Nawazish Ali, she revealed that she was doing her B.Com in Karachi but left her education in between because of work responsibility. This is one decision she took in her life that she feels guilty about.
She said, “You have so many responsibilities on you that your education takes a backseat. This is something I will always feel guilty about,” she explained. She then advises girls based on her personal experience
“For girls, it is extremely important to pay heed to their education. I should have done the same, but I guess it was not meant to be.”

The host also asked Sadaf about what she thinks of the #MeToo movement now, and it looks like she has stuck to the same narrative. Previously she received harsh criticism for saying,
“You know, when you have a #MeToo incident, say it then. Why do you remember it later? I think when it happens, you should say it.”
However, she went ahead and said she may have used the wrong words as Urdu isn’t her first language. She said,
“My first language isn’t Urdu. I am a Hazara native, so that some people might misunderstand me because of the wrong choice of words. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone with what I said. I was misconstrued. But if something like that ever happened to me, I would not wait and speak up then and there.”
The model turned actress made headlines and came under public scrutiny when she tied the knot with Shehroze Sabzwari last year after he and Syra Yousuf publicly announced heart-wrenching news of them calling off their marriage.
