Pakistani filmmaker, Shehzad Hameed Ahmad has won the Green Image Award for his documentary, “Pakistan’s Himalayan Meltdown” in Japan. The documentary directed by Shehzad was filmed in 2019. The documentary investigates how geopolitical problems will build between India and Pakistan after the Himalayan glaciers melt away.

The water will become a flashpoint in the situation because of the problems caused by the water supply coming from melting glaciers. Shehzad is a full bright scholar and has received countless awards for his work that includes NYU Alum. Prince of Asturias Award, 6 NY Festivals Award, 2 World Media Festival, and Mediacorp Award.
The U.S. Embassy Islamabad announced the news on Twitter. The tweet said,

The film was among 177 nominated at the Green Image Film Festival. Only 12 were selected for awards by members of Hitotsubashi University and the National Film Archive of Japan.

Shehzad just recently bagged an award at Sweden Film Awards 2021 for his documentary Bangladesh’s Delta Disaster.
He wrote in a tweet:
